(Seraph's POV)

We walk into the next room, seeing a ghost blocking our path. We hear it say, "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. (are they gone yet). zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz."

I lean over to Alex and whisper, "I think he's trying to make us think he's asleep. Maybe we should try to move him?"

"Yeah." Alex whispers back. "I think we should." As soon as we try to move him with force, a battle begins.

"Okay, let's consider our options." I say. "We could check him to figure out how strong he is and how much HP he has..."

Alex nods and checks the ghost. He says, "Napstablook - Attack 10 Defense 10. This monster doesn't seem to have a sense of humor."

So his name is Napstablook. Then he starts crying. Oh boy. We move around to avoid the tears. Once we've done that successfully, I give the ghost a patient smile. He simply says, "heh..." Then, instead of an attack, he says, "Really not feeling up to it right now. Sorry."

Alex gets my drift and tells him a little joke. He simply says, "heh...heh..." And he cries some more. We avoid the tears and I smile at him. He looks like he wants to show us something. "let me try..." He says. Then he starts crying again. This time, the tears going up and making a top hat. "i call it "dapperblook". do you like it..."

He eagerly awaits our response. Alex smiles and I giggle and say, "It is quite dapper. It looks nice."

"oh gee..." He says. "i usually come to the ruins because there's nobody around...but today i met some nice people......oh, i'm rambling again. i'll get out of your way." Then he disappears and we continue forward.

We go straight and see two spiderwebs and a sign. The sign says something about a spider bake sale. Alex walks over to the webs and says, "Well, we might as well contribute." He leaves 7G in the small web. And I walk over and leave 18G in the larger web. A spider hands him a donut and me a jug of cider. We put them in our inventories here and leave the room the way we came.

We turn right into a long room with Froggits. We walk passed them and when we reach the end of the room, Alex's cell phone rings. He answers it and puts it on speaker, "Hello?" Toriel says. "This is Toriel. I just realized that it has been a while since I have cleaned up.  I was not expecting to have company so soon. There are probably a lot of things lying about here and there. You can pick them up, but do not carry more than you need. Someday you might see something you really like. You will want to leave room in your pockets for that."

"Thank you, Toriel." Alex says. Then he hangs up and we continue into a room with sections of the floor that can fall. I stray from Alex's side to read a sign. It says something about there being only one switch. But I don't see a switch in this room. Unless...

"Alex." I say. "We're gonna have to split up if we're to find the switch. You take the top half and I'll take the bottom half."

He nods. I don't know if he fully understood what I meant or not but he goes to the first bit of floor on the top and falls through. I do the same on the bottom. I see a faded ribbon on the floor. So I pick it up and tie my hair into a ponytail with it. Then I crawl through the tunnel thing and come out in the room we started in. Then I go to the second piece of floor and fall down, this time landing on my feet.

I see Napstablook in the room. I say, "Hey, Napstablook."

"i fell down a hole and now i can't get up." He says. I giggle and he continues, "go on without me. wait, ghosts can fly, can't they...oh well..." Then disappears. I giggle and crawl through the tunnel, meeting Alex at the top. He looks a little worse for ware. "Hey, babe? You alright?" I say.

"Yeah. I just got into a battle with a vegetoid...He wouldn't let me go until I ate my greens." Alex says. I laugh at his response and say, "Let's just keep moving."

We split up and I go into the third area and him into the second. In the third area, is a plant like thing sticking out of the ground. That must be a vegetiod. I avoid it and crawl through the tunnel. As soon as I get to the top, I see the spikes go down. Alex must've found the switch. He crawls through the tunnel and I help him up.

I take his hand and we move on.  "Say," he says. "You pulled your hair into a pony tail. Did you find the ribbon while looking for the switch?"

"Yeah." I say, pushing my bangs out of my face. "I did."

"Well, monsters are sure not to hit you as hard now because you look cute."

I blush and we go into the next room. I read the sign we see out loud, "The far door is not an exit. It simply marks a rotation in perspective."

"Alright then." Alex says. We see switches next to some pillars. But obviously they're not needed because the spikes are already down. We continue to the next room. Unfortunately, the spikes haven't been put down yet. We go to the far end of the room and see I sign. Alex reads it, "If you can read this, press the blue switch." We go behind the first pillar we saw and see a blue switch. I press it and we hear a clicking sound.

We turn the corner and see that the spikes are down. Feeling satisfied, we continue into the next room. The sign is right next to the door, so I read it, "If you can read this, press the red switch."

We look behind the pillars until we find the red switch. Alex presses it and we hear the familiar sound of the spikes going down. We continue and in the next room, is yet more switches and more spikes. Alex and I read the sign, "If you can read this, press the green switch."

We search the pillars again until we find the green switch. Once we do, we press it together and the clicking sound indicates that the spikes have gone down. We go through the doorway and onto a crossroads. We go straight, which leads us to a room with a toy knife. We look at each other and decide not to pick it up. "I don't really think we'll need it anyway..." I say.

We turn back and go left. and up into a yard. "Oh dear..." We hear Toriel say. "That took longer than I thought it would..." Then we see her walk next to the tree and start dialing one of our numbers. When she notices us, she puts her phone away and comes to us. "How did you get here, my children?" She says. "Are you two hurt?" She looks me over and determines that I'm not. But when she looks Alex over, she sees that he is a little. "There, there. I will heal you. I should not have left you two alone for so long. It was irresponsible of me to try and surprise you two like this."

She gets an embarrassed look on her face and continues, "Err...Well, I suppose I cannot hide it any longer. Come, small ones."

We follow her to a nice little house. And seeing such a cute, tidy house in the middle of the ruins fills us with determination.
