Somebody Like You (Malec)

Chapter 5:She Knows

  I woke to the sound of Jace and Isabelle in the hallway outside my room. Jace was saying that he wanted to train the stupid mundane (Clary as Jace said that was her name) to be a shadowhunter, but Izzy thought she wasn't ready considering she spent 16 years of her life as a mundane. Last night was mostly a blur. I remember the warlocks, Greenpoint, and most of all, I remember Magnus Bane.

  I remember his shining yellow-green cat eyes looking at me,his long, lean figure,his hair spiked up in multiple directions, and fully complete with glitter. I doubt I'll ever see him again. As the other warlocks recognized him I suspected he was the high warlock, and on our walk back to the institute he confirmed my thoughts. Why would someone as important as himself care for someone like me?

  I finally got up after getting tired Jace saying Clary's name over a hundred times. I walked out, going straight through them, ignoring them as they called out for me. I walked into the kitchen. Thank the angel Isabelle didn't cook, I thought to myself. I couldn't get Magnus's eyes out of my mind. I grabbed an apple and walked to the living room where Jace, Isabelle, and mundane Clary sat. I guess I didn't hear the door open. As soon as I walked in Jace blurred out "Alec, I'm taking Clary to the silent brothers to look at her mind, apparently there's a block in her mind."

  "Fine by me, is Isabelle going?"

  "No Isabelle ,     going" Clary said.

  "Well go on then" I mumbled and I went back to my room.

   I sat down in my bed and there was a knock on the door, I opened it and Isabelle walked in.

  "What do you want" I practically yelled at her.

  "Alec, are you alright? you seem a bit on edge, is this about Jace?" She asked in a soothing voice.

  "Yes and no, it goes both ways" I was deciding whether or not to tell her about Magnus.

  "Tell me what the hell is wrong then!" I told her everything from getting mad at Jace, to Greenpoint, and lastly Magnus. By the time I finished she had a huge grin on her face that made me want to smack her.

  "Awww Alec has a little crush."

  "Izzy if you tell anyone or say that again I will personally throw you out that window, and he's not exactly little he was an inch or two taller then me, which hardly ever happens"

  "Awww well good luck to you two, and don't worry I won't tell anyone." With that Isabelle strutted out of the room
