I stopped at Forever 21, looking at the beautiful sequence dress that was in the window. 'If I could only afford that' I thought to myself turning away from the window, and making my way into the nearby bakery. We walked in, the bell going off signaling that a customer had arrived.
There was a group of guys in front of us ordering everything in site. I went to the side, looking at the chocolates and holiday candies. "Hi, how can I help you?" A girl about my age with red, curly hair asked from behind the counter.
"Hi, can I get 5 chocolate strawberries and some peppermint bark please?" I asked her, she gave me a smile and went to the back to get my order. I felt my phone vibrate from my pocket, I pulled it out and my mom was calling.
"Hey mom!" "Hi sweetheart! Can you pick up some egg nog while you're out?" "Yeah sure!" I said writing it down on a napkin so I wouldn't forget. "Lena!" Kiely asked from the counter. I gave her the one minute sign and continued talking my mom.
"Sorry, Momma called! She wants us pick up some egg nog for the party," I told Kiely as I came back to the counter.
I paid for my items, Kiely and I heading back out into the cold weather. I stopped and got the egg nog going back to mom's apartment. "Mom?" I yelled into the house. I walked into the kitchen and put the egg nog in the fridge. I heard some talking coming from the living room and decided to cheek it out.
"Mrs. Mahone I'm really sorry that I made your daughter loose her title," a familiar voice pleaded. "Well Liam, it's all in the past," she answered, was it really in the past?
"I was planning on getting Lena a Christmas present but I don't know what to get her," I backed away from the door, I couldn't listen to this anymore. I quickly grabbed my bag and left.
I ran up the stairs to the apartment Kiely and I shared. I unlocked the door and threw my keys on the table. "Kiely, we need to talk," I shouted into the apartment. "Hey boys!" I said passing the living room. "BOYS?" I shouted, Kiely came out of the kitchen with a huge smile.
