Chapter six: Lost girl

The group of hero's followed behind David as he lead the way Hook guiding him.

"The ridge is just a few hundred paces up ahead," Hook said while David cut a plant.

"You really think we're gonna be able to see Pan's hideout?" Emma asked from the back.

"From there, we should be able to see everything. Including were he's keeping your son."

"You know, I could have just poofed us here in an instant," Regina made a side comment.

"Have you any idea what's up here or anywhere?" Hook asked turning to face the former Evil Queen.

"There are dangers everywhere, only I can guide us past them," Hook bragged.

"He's right. Hook's lived here before. If he says hiking up is the best way, then we listen," Emma stated like the true leader she was.

But parts of her were still a follower that she used to be.

"Here, you need to stay hydrated," Mary Margaret said handing Emma a canteen.

"Thanks, Mary Margaret."

Emma took a long sip of the water while Mary Margaret took a sudden stop.

"You know, "Mary Margaret" is a bit formal. You could call me "mom" if you want."

Emma shared a look of confusion.

"You've done it before."

"That was. . . back when we--"

"We were about to die," she said with a little frown.

They kept moving and walked in silence until Mary Margaret stopped.

"Snow what's wrong?" David asked turning to face his wife.

She shook her head, "It's your sister."

Emma gave a funny look, "You mean to say I have an aunt?"

David nodded his head thinking about his younger more ambitious sister.

"Oh great, this is not the time to start taking about female Robin Hood. We have to find our son," Regina hissed looking straight at Emma.

"You're right, you're right. Hook keep leading the way."

David kept cutting down parts of trees and plants trying not to think of his sister.

He went to swing his sword again when Hook held his arm back.

"No, no!"

"I can handle a couple of thorns," he snapped at Hook.

"That's dreamshade. It's not the thorns you have to worry about. It's the poison they inject you with. This plant is the source of the toxins I used on the Dark One," Hook shared his expertise.

"The poison that almost killed Gold ?" Emma asked while they circled the two men.

"Indeed," Hook lifted his lantern so you could see the dreamshade more, "I used a concentrated does. In its natural form, death would be much slower and far more painful. I suggest we go this way."

David turned his head and looked to other way around the dreamshade.

"We'll go this way," he said pointing his sword to the left of him.

Regina looked around as did the mother daughter duo, but the soon all followed David.

"Your father's a distrustful fellow."
