Julia is walking to school with her friend Ryan they've been best friends since first grade and have always loved going on fun filled adventures after or before school. But there was one problem, the town they were in started to get boring more and more it seemed like the only time it was full of life was when they had festivals or holidays around town. After that, it was just a dull, boring, gray looking town. When they finally reached school they were greeted by their three other friends, Alex, Kory, and Vanessa. Ryan had known them since pre-school and they all went to first grade and meant Julia. Ever since then they've been going on adventures together. Right now they're in middle school, they don't enjoy it but friends make it better.
"We should go somewhere this weekend, like out of town or something." Kory said. "We can't remember? We have to work on our science project that's due Monday." Ryan said. She often was the rational one in the group and remembered all her chores and responsibilities before anyone else in the whole group did. But they all could agree on this one thing, they desperately needed to have some fun. They all went to their classes while Julia wondered around a bit. She was more nervous than ever about her math test. This could change her whole entire life! One F and she would be living in a box and her job would be an imaginary doctor, and she surely didn't want that! Finally, she checked the clock and saw that she would be late if she didn't get to class in time. Meanwhile, Alex was already counting down the time until he could leave school and start his weekend and reveal a plan to his friends to finally have some fun.
Lunch was here and they finally could enjoy some free time they all grabbed their lunch and sat at their respected seats. Alex was eager to greet his friends and was about to say something when Amy (a manipulative, mean and downright annoying girl) came up to them. "Hey, guys! What are you talking about I hope it's not about winning that science fair, Vanessa." She said while pulling up a chair to sit with them. "No, trust me it isn't Alex was just about to tell us something." She said trying her best not to be mean to her. "Anyway, as I was saying maybe we should take a road trip! I now this sounds crazy but when was the last time we really had some fun? We could make up some excuse to our school and parents then-" Alex seemed really excited so did everyone else except for Ryan. "Are you crazy!? Not only will we lie but we also will run away from home! You know more than anyone that's not an option!" She said. It wasn't an option for her, she had so much she had to do and couldn't ruin it with one stupid millennial trying to have fun thingy. "Come on Ryan! I'm sure Alex has a huge smart plan like he always does. You do have a plan right?" Kory was just as unsure as Ryan but at least he had a little bit of faith.
The only problem was Alex only thought of money, transportation, hotels and food. But he didn't think of how they were going to exactly tell their parents or teachers why they're gone for a week. Julia finally spoke up "I think it could work! I mean if we play our cards right we might be able to get away with it AND if it doesn't work we still will probably have the time of our lives." The whole table was shocked that she even agreed with him but somewhere inside of them they agreed and what's the point in doing what you're told? But there was one person and that was Amy. Before he knew it she was raising her hand "HEY!" Everyone shouted at once. "I want something." She simply said. "Oh nooo... it's bad enough we are lying and going on this trip we don't need her!" Ryan exclaimed. "Fine, then I'll just tell ALL of your parents and teachers but don't worry Vanessa you'll still be able to win!" She said in her know it all tone. That's when they all decided to listen. "Where will you guys go?" She asked. "Orlando it's only 4 hours and 44 minutes away from us." Alex replied. "Perfect there's this band called the uh... rad tads! And I kinda want an autograph can you do that? Or else I'll have to tell a teacher or parent." Everyone was cautious but agreed "okay! Perfect now let's get to planning this trip! I'll see you guys on Saturday I need a day to get stuff ready bye!" And Alex was off. Kory,Ryan, and Julia felt worried but excited. All they can do is hope things will go well.
