Everything Changes

Summary: I didn’t want to be like every other girl, who was just telling my story for people to feel bad for me. No I was the complete opposite, I was just a normal girl who was telling my story to prove how it changed me. How it made me stronger, and opened my eyes to how unfair life could be at times.

I was only fourteen when my best friend, and the one person I ever cared about left without so much as a goodbye. He didn’t say goodbye, he didn’t tell me where he was going. I had no idea why he left, or where he’d gone. I all I knew is that one day I was hanging out with him, and the next day he was gone.

Three years and he’s back now. He’s not the same person he use to be, he’s changed, and I can’t decide if it’s for the better, or the worse. I didn’t want to be the person who turns away from my friend. I had no choice though. He left me, no explanation. He had changed, he wasn’t the same person.

Although my best friend might have left, and become a completely different person then he use to be. I wasn’t about let him just walk into my life without an explanation, and this called for some serious explanation. I had changed also, I wasn’t the same little girl I use to be. I knew that I had changed for a better. Having my best friend back though was making me start to question if I really had changed for the best.

You know how they always say how when your best friend comes back, and you realize your feelings for each other. Then they both get together, and live happily ever after. Some people could even say it’s completely different. I don’t really know what to call this story. Just that this story isn’t exactly like that.

My name is Tessie Spencer, and this is my story of how my life changed when my best friend came back. How after everything that changed, and happened. How I realized Everything Changes you just have to be ready for it when the time comes.

Everything changes. It's up to you to find out if it's for the best, or for the worst.

“Cody stop! I’m going to tell if you don’t stop.” I shouted as Cody continued chasing me around. Throwing mud, and dirt at my back. Making it mat into my hair turning my wild curled hair into a complete muddy mess down my back. My t-shirt and shorts that my mom bought a couple of weeks ago ruined.

“Calm down Tess, it’s just a little bit of dirt. Stop acting like such a girl.”

“If you haven’t noticed I am a girl dummy.” I said turning to face him, putting my hands on my hips, and glaring at him. He was taller than me, way taller then me. He always had been. It didn’t matter to me though, he was my best friend we always had been.

His family had always lived across the road from my family as long as I could remember. My parents always said they’d been living there long before I was born. Our parents were best friends with each other, so when we were born we were automatically thrown together to become friends. Not that I mind though, I couldn’t ask for a better friend than Cody. He would always be my friend, no matter what.

Cody threw another lump of mud at me, it landed in the front of my shirt. Splattering, and hitting me in the face. I looked down to see the front of my shirt covered in mud, along with my shorts. Pretty sure that my face looked about the same as my poor outfit Cody had ruined. That was it!

“Mom!” I shouted turning around and running up the front steps, and in through the front door of my house. Not even bothering to take off my shoes as I started towards the kitchen knowing that’s where my mom, and Cody’s mom would be talking. “Cody is throwing mud at me, now it’s all over me.” I said walking into the kitchen.
