Summary: The Valentines and The Lock's have hated each other for centures. They live in a town called Storm Haven. When Chloe Lock moves to her family’s mansion. (The family she barely knows), with her mom (Vivian), and her little sister (Viola), trouble immediately stirs up. Chloe has gets a connection to Daymon, a secretly sweet guy who is one of the Valentine's. Rules were clearly set out for Chloe to not mess around with the Valentine’s, but how could she resist such a good looking guy, who is really nice and sweet on the inside? Now you also have the issue of Octavia, Damon's little sister, poking into his business. Octavia especially hates the Locks, for her own personal reasons. And when Octavia doesn't like something that she sees, she changes it, for the worse of for the better.

Chapter One

It seemed like this was just another reason for me to dislike my mom even more. It’s not like I didn’t love my cousins, and uncles. It’s just there was so many of them. Plus moving into a small town in the middle of the school year wasn’t exactly something I wanted to endure.

My mom just seemed so excited about it. Being able to be close to her family again. It’s been a few years since she’s seen them. After all they haven’t even met my little four year old sister Viola. They would know if they’d met Viola before.

She was really good at getting everybody wrapped around her tiny pinky finger in an instant. She was just too adorable. All she had to do was give you that cute little puppy dog look, and you were head over heels for her. I mean with her short brown hair, blue eyes, and that baby face it was hard to resist her.

Technically she was my half-sister. Since my mom had never bothered to settle down with any of the men she was pregnant with. I still loved Viola though. I mean how could I not. Half-sister or not she was still my little sister. She had to have somebody to look up to, and I knew that wouldn’t be my mom.

“Chloe look we’re here,” my mom said from the drivers seat next to me. I looked away from the window I was staring out of to look at her, and then the road in front of us. Well technically it was a driveway. A really long driveway. When I finally got a glimpse of the house I was pretty sure my jaw dropped.

It was huge. The mansion sitting in front of me surely couldn’t be my mother’s families. I mean we were well off before we moved, before we decided to move to Storm Haven that is. I always thought it was because my mom worked so hard to support us. If she was getting money from her brothers though. It only made sense that we were so well off.

By the looks of the house they had money to roll around in, and more to spare. As my mom drove around the circle driveway in front of house. She parked in front of the stairs leading up to the front door. She shut the car off as I climbed out. Looking over at the grass area in the middle of the circle driveway. With the fountain, and the hedges surrounding it.

The tan brick house contrasted with the white trim nicely. The doors opened at the top of the stairs, and all of my cousins started spilling out of the house. My uncles, and their wives on their heels. “Jack, Walter, Oscar it’s so good to see you.” My mom said running forward to hug her brothers.

“Vivian it’s been too long. It’s nice to see you too Chloe,” Jack said after hugging my mother.

“You too uncle Jack. Your house is beautiful,” I said as I looked around in awe one last time. Then I remembered that my little sister was still in the car. I walked to the back door opening it, and unbuckling my sister from her car seat. I put her on my hip as she smiled at everybody.

I swear I heard awwa's from all my family at her cuteness. There they went the falling head over heels for her. “Oh Vivian who is this adorable little girl?” My aunt Lucy said. She was married to my mother's brother Walter.
