I woke up a bit late today. I took a  bath  and went to the living room. Then I overheard Luan jumping up and down in her room  excitedly. Then at the table  she made her announcement.

"Guys, you all remember Cynthia, the kid from the park, right? Well, her mom wanted me to be the clown for her birthday. And they're paying ten  dollars an hour!!!! How cool is that? I'm so ha........ Ha......hachoo!! "she  said while sneezing loudly. 

Uh oh. In the loud house, the minute you sneeze, everyone wants to get away from you. With 13 people packed into a house like ours, it's very easy to get sick.

So you can understand why we have locked Luan in the kitchen now.

"Kids, who is that banging the kitchen door? Is someone sick again? " mom asked from upstairs.

" It's Luan mom. " Lori replied.

Mom came downstairs and unlocked the door. We all ran to our rooms, you know, to avoid getting sick. Then mom took Luan to her room and started talking to her. I might have eavesdropped..............

" Mom, I have to go to that party. I'm the only one who can clown. And did I mention they're paying ten dollars an hour? You have to let me go!! "Luan said.

" I'm sorry Luan but you're staying home until you heal up. I can't risk you infecting the other kids. Maybe you can find someone else to do it. " mom said while opening the door and making me fall on my face in the process.

" Hey, Luan, can I be the clown? I'll do a good job I promise. I said.

" And what makes you think you can do a good clowning job?? It's obvious that I'm the best person to replace Luan. " Lana said.

"  Oh, puh-lease, everyone knows that you have to have a lot of stamina to do clowning. And I have loads of that!!" Lynn said.

"First of all, you don't need stamina to clown, Lynn. You need humor. And I'm the funniest in this family. After Luan that is. "
Lana said.

" You are not funny. I think I deserve to  clown, seeing as I never do anything. " Lucy said.

" No, I deserve. "

" No, I  deserve. "

" I deserve! "

" No, ME!! "

And it turned into a full on fight. Luan had to intervene.

" Guys, how about this......"(hachoo, sniff sniff) " I'll hold something like auditions. You'll " (hachoo, blow nose)  "show me your best act and I'll be the one to decide who replaces me. Now. Everyone get out and make a line outside my door. Then come in one by one. MOVE IT!" ( hachoo, cough cough.)

So we obeyed her.

First was  Lana.
She tried juggling. It did not work and she ended up hitting herself with the the bowling pins on the head

Then came Lori. She didn't even to anything. So she was out. All of the others didn't know what to do either so they were all out. Then I did some juggling on the spot. I did it perfectly!! Luan said I was hired and that I was going to clown for five hours, and I'd have to give her twenty dollars out of fifty.
Yesssss!

**day of the party **
"Luan, wish me luck!! " I called, while running around Luan's room, taking fake spiders and all that stuff.

" luck. (sniff.) and don't bore de audience. By combedidor will be doo sadisfied. Bye lincold!! " Luna said sickly. Jeez, she's in bad shape. I hope she heals soon though, can't risk getting sick.....

At the party.............

" Hey, kids, look at me!! I'm juggling bowling pins!!!" I said, while doing the trick I did at home. I was met by silence.
Then "Boo! Boo! Go away! Boo! Mommy he's ruining my party! Boo! Boo!" then they started throwing....... Wait, rotten tomatoes?? Where did a bunch of seven year olds get rotten tomatoes!?!?

I got out of there. Then. I went. Home. To. Take. A loooooong shower. I decided to come clean and tell Luan the truth.

"Luan, I have to tell you something. I went to the party. I did the bowling pin trick that I did here that you liked but the kids there hated it and they booed at me and they threw rotten tomatoes at me and I saw a boy come on stage please don't tell me that's your rival I'm really sorry forgive me?? "

" Whad? Lincold I thoughd you told be you woud do a good job? Bud it's okay. I guess Mac cad take the rest of by shows thed. Good day link. " she said, going back to sleep.

I had really messed up. So I decided to find a way to make it up to her.

So I made a plan.

I would visit go to all the parties that Mac was attending. I would find what makes kids like his party tricks so much and I would steal the ideas!.

So I attended a party on Saturday. He juggled with apples and took a bite out of all  the apples while juggling. The kids went wild. I noticed that he used the same trick every time.

So he's about to go on stage in another party. I went backstage and put a sack over his head. Then I dragged him outside. I went on stage after wearing his costume and did the same trick but surprisingly, the kids didn't like it. Apparently, all the kids had seen that trick. It was old news.

So just like that, everyone wanted Luan to clown again. She took quite some time to get cured but now she's back in the game!!!
