It's been a while since Christmas passed. I got all the gifts I ever wanted, and that made me really happy.

With that said, we're going to get new neighbours. They're going to move next to our house I'm a few days. There are some rumours that they're filthy rich and that they have a kid my age. I knew immediately that I'd like to befriend that person so that, you know, he can help me with the things I'd like. It's not that I'd like to use him, well, I'd like to use him a little, but I'd also like a new friend.

"Guys, what are you doing? " I asked my sisters when I found them looking out the bathroom window.

" Were definitely not spying on  the new neighbour so that we can know whether they're rich or not if that's what you're thinking, hehe. "  said Lynn.  I know that's exactly what they're doing.

" Why would you want to know if they're rich or not? He's gonna be my friend anyway. " I said, getting annoyed. There's a new person and they're already spying on them. What if they're really rich and  have cameras everywhere and are now seeing our intrudious nature?

" You guys need to stop this, it's rude of you to-"
"Sweet mother of pearl! Is that what I think it is?!?!? " Lana cut me off.

" Oh my gosh, it is! It's a limo! " Leni said excitedly.

" Gimme that. " I said snatching away the binoculars from her.
It was a limo. They owned a limo. They had a limo. They were inside the limo. Inside the limo. Inside the - 

" Link, go meet him, go meet him! " Lori said interrupting me from my train of thought.

" Hey, hello, I'm Lincoln. I live in that house, right next door. What's your name? " I asked the new kid.

" Oh, I'm Rich. Nice to meet you. You're house is pretty..... uh...... "
He trailed off.

" It's a bit old. Your name is Rich?" I asked. What a name. The people are rich, so they call the kid Rich. Wow.

"No, actually it's Richard, but everyone just calls me Rich. Wanna come in? " He asked while holding the door for me to enter.

" Yes of course! " I said a bit too quickly. I was quick to mend my slip up. " Sorry, I'm really excited to meet you and your house - er - mean your parents. " I said while grinning from ear to ear.

" Ookayy, so do you have any siblings? " he asked while leading me to the living room.

" Uh, yeah. I have ten sisters. " I replied, deciding to go with the truth. He burst out laughing. But he stopped upon seeing my serious face.

" Oh, you're serious? Sorry I thought you were joking. I have an elder sister, she's Turing eighteen this year. But she's at a school overseas. So for now I'm an only child. " he replied.

" Should we go somewhere? I'd like to show you around the town of your okay with that. " I offered, feeling out of place on the soft velvet seats.

" Um, yah, sure, let's go. " he said and we walked out.

" Lincoln, where have you been?"  Clyde asked when I got home.

"I was with the new kid he's so fun! I've never had so much fun with anyone in my entire life! " I replied happily.

" But what about me?  Can we hang out tomorrow? " he asked hopefully.
" Sorry, Clyde, but I have to go fishing with Richard tomorrow. I'm really sorry. Bye bye! " I said while going to my room.  I could not wait for tomorrow.

Tomorrow, same time.....

" Lincoln, I thought you said you'd be here to hang with me on the afternoon! " Clyde said while I walked in.

" Uh, I'm sorry? He's so fun. I really wanna hang out with him." I said.

"Oh, that's okay. Bye. " he said while walking out.

I kinda felt bad but I couldn't stop hanging out with Rich. He was a chance of a life time.

Next morning.

Ding dong. Ding dong. Ding dong. Ding dong.

I was ringing the bell to Richard' house but no one was opening. Then finally he opened.

"Hey,  Rich, took you long! " I said, jokingly.

" What is it? " he asked rudely.
Uh oh.
" Uh, we were supposed to go play mini golf today? " I asked.

" Uh, no. I have a new best friend. And, we're moving out day after tomorrow. " he said while shutting the door in my face. That's when I went crawling back to Clyde.

" Hey, Clyde, I'm sorry for blowing you off the other day. I just got caught up in having a new friend I didn't realize that you're the only true friend I have. Sorry. " I apologised.

" It's okay. Friends? " he held out his hand for me to shake.

" No, best friends. "

Hi people!!  I just wanted to say thank you so much for reading my book, I'm so happy that at least someone's reading my work. Even if the reads are not like a thousand or a million, I'm still really happy.
I wanted to say that I won't be updating much now because  I have a lot of school work and won't find time to write. I'll be looking for time every one weekend or so to post a chapter. Thank you!!! Love you!! ❤
