Christmas at the loud house is quite chaotic at times. Well, most of the times. Well, all the time. On Christmas morning, every one wakes up super early to see what gift they have. You might not get a gift on Christmas because if a person finds another person's gift is better than theirs, that person will do whatever is necessary to get your gift.

I must say, Santa doesn't give us enough gifts.

But this Christmas was going to be different. And you know why? Because mom has a super duper plan to make sure things are fair this time. I'll explain.

Flashback

" Guys, mom and dad are talking again! " I yelled from the toilet.

All my sister's came into the toilet.
So we listened in on mom and dad's conversation.

"  What are we going to do?? This year cannot go like last year. The house nearly collapsed because of their fighting! " dad said.

" We have to think of q plan. (sneezes)  Wow this place is dusty. Come to think of it, this whole house is dirty, dusty, and disorganised. "  Mom said.

" This is not the time to think about dirt. We have to think of a plan that will prevent the kids from fighting this Christmas. " dad said.

"  It is time to think about dirt. It's time to think about every kind of chore the kids can do. Not just their normal chores, this house needs to be in tip top shape. Our relatives are coming for the Christmas dinner after all, right?"
Mom said.

"You're right! Let's tell them today at dinner! " dad said.

" No need, they have probably been eavesdropping on this conversation. They'll start doing their chores right now IF THE WANT TO GET A LOT OF CHRISTMAS GIFTS!  Mom said, while shouting the last part so that we could hear. Which we could, even without the shouting.

***************

" Lana, get away! I'm cleaning the attic. " I said to Lana who was trying to get  the dustiest part of the house.
" Nuh uh, I got here first! " she shouted back.

" Well, did you carry any cleaning stuff? "I shouted.
. I heard her groan and then she came down the attic.

" You may have won this time, linkybut you haven't seen the last of me. " Lana hissed.

" Blah blah blah, yada yada. " I said  back. I entered the dusty attic a day started dusting. The usual stuff.

After that,  I was walking around the house to see what else I could do. The kitchen was perfectly clean, thanks to Lynn. Back yard was perfect thanks to Lucy. There was nearly nothing to do ! Then I remembered one place that  no one would  dare to clean.

THE BASEMENT .

That place was spooky!  I mean, spookier than the attic even!  But I figured if I cleaned it, mom and dad would give me the most gifts for being brave enough to clean the basement. So I went down.

And I heard some sounds. Footsteps. Sounds. Footsteps. Sounds. Footsteps.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaah! " I screamed when something touched my hand. " Lana! You! " I shouted, disappointed that Lana had gotten to the attic before me.

Darn.
Darn.
Darn it.

So now, it's nearly dinner time. I only got to clean the attic. I'm not going to get a worthy gift for Christmas at all. I'll probably get socks and pencils again. Like the last three years in a row. Ugh.

I trudged down the stairs to go to the dining room. To hear who won the contest. Sigh. Not me.

" Hello, kids! I am so proud of you all! The house looks amazing!  You all really did a great job!  But may the best kid win. " mom said while dad was grinding like mad. He only grinned like that when he knew a secret. What was this person up-to?

Christmas morning.

" Jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way oh what fun it is   to ride...... " dad sang loudly from downstairs. We all rushed to see who won the contest.

No one.

Or maybe, everyone. I got a cool new scooter, that's all I really wanted. And,  by listening to my sisters happy cries, and they all got what they wanted too.

" Mom, dad, what's going on?  Why do we all have good gifts? " I asked.

" Well, we decided did that this Christmas should be special. And besides, you all earned your gifts. Merry Christmas kids! " mom said happily.

This had to be the greatest Christmas ever.

Just wanted to say, merry Christmas to you all!!!! 😊😊❄❄
