Sans isn't looking at Frisk when she walks by, he was staring at the snow. He was in deep of thought and was troubled.

"Wanna go to Grillby's?" Frisk offers smiling.

This question startles Sans and snaps him back into reality.

"Huh?" he says dumbly.

Frisk motions back to Snowdin.

"Yeah... sure..."

Frisk left Flowey at the inn today before she left. She wasn't planning on leaving Snowdin yet. The flower was easily sceptical about the whole thing and then apologized, ashamed he doubted Frisk. Sans looked distracted the whole way to Grillby's. He doesn't peep a word. Frisk notices he hasn't called her pet names in a while too. Frisk grabs Sans's hand and smiles gently at him. His eyes were wide and he looked like he was about to pull back, but he let it slide.

They order two trays of fries again and Frisk hands Sans the mustard. Frisk then asks Grillby for the ketchup. She says "Thank You" as he hands her the ketchup. The bartender looks happy after.

"So... where's your flower friend?" Sans asks.

"I left him at the inn today."

He hums "Hmm... you stayin' in Snowdin?"

Frisk shakes her head no and points up like she normally does. She then folds her hands in her lap and says "Out".

"You're really set on that, aren't you?" Sans sighs.

It takes a while for Frisk to answer. A sad smile creeps on her face as she dips a fry in ketchup. She munches on it until it's gone.

"It's the only thing I really know how to do."

From how the lights in Sans's eyes dim and how he snorts. Frisk thinks he understands.

When Frisk encounters Sans and Papyrus again, she closes her eyes and shakes her head sadly, ready for her soul to be crushed. The battle starts and she dodges Papyrus's first attack. Meanwhile Flowey supports Frisk from behind. Papyrus gets fed up and throws Flowey to the side with his magic. Frisk reaches outward towards Flowey. That was all Papyrus needed as a distraction and sends a bone into Frisk's arm. She was pinned to the ground.

Frisk yelps and squirms. She tries to take out the bone but pain shoots through her body. During the whole thing, Sans stands and watches from the side. He watches as the human doesn't give him the hateful look she gave him the first time this happened and how she cries out to her fallen friend. He lets Papyrus break Frisk's arm and legs with his attacks.
Frisk is breathing hard with crimson blood dripping from her mouth, staining her flowers and the snow beneath her. The human soul is in front of Papyrus and he was grinning evilly. Frisk's soul was beating slowly as life slipped away from her.

"Help," she rasped, looking into the sky. For a moment her eyes glance at Sans, "Please."

Sans stared at Frisk, deciding whether she should live or die. She had tears mixed with blood streaming down her face. She let out soft moans of pain as the bones were taking her life away. Sans was about to say something to his brother, but Papyrus lowered his hand and bones flew thru Frisk's soul. It shattered in front of his eyes and he felt guilt in his own soul.

"It didn't work," Frisk mumbles after waking up for the uncountable times she has.

Flowey sighs from his desk, "I'm sorry."

"Yeah," Frisk murmurs, "Me too."
