Frisk sat up in bed, and looked around her. She seemed to be in one of the bedrooms in Toriel's house in the ruins. She raises her hand to her right temple and a small golden buttercup was resting there. Frisk remembers battling Toriel and dying from a fireball. She lifts up her shirt to look at the mark Toriel gave her, but no mark was there. There was no blood, scar, or burnt clothing. Flowey was placed on the desk beside her bed in a small pot, sleeping. Frisk smiles at her little friend, then gets out of bed to talk to Toriel.
Frisk walks down the hall and finds Toriel sitting in her armchair by the fireplace. She was reading a giant book that said "100 Ways to Kill Snails". She hears Frisk walking in and looks up from her book.
"Oh, hello My Child... did you enjoy the golden flowers I put up for you?" Toriel asks.
Frisk glares down the hall at the golden flowers sitting in a quaint vase. She frowns a bit at the flowers; it reminded her of the small flower by her temple. She tugged on the flower slightly on her temple and started to get dizzy. The world spun around her and her vision slowly faded into darkness. Toriel stood up and caught Frisk in her arms.
"Are you okay My Child?" Toriel questions.
"I'm fine....." Frisk mutters.
Frisk stumbles down the hall and into her room. Flowey was now awake staring at her on the floor. He noticed the single golden flower on her head.
"Since when did you start to act girly and put flowers in your hair?" Flowey asks.
"I don't know.... It just appeared when Toriel killed me," Frisk stutters.
Frisk puts a hand on her head still trying to clear her mind. Flowey scoffs a little and then gives Frisk a look of concern.
"Just go back to bed, it might help," Flowey sighs.
Frisk didn't sleep she just stared at the ceiling. She decides to ask Toriel where the exit of the ruins are. Breathing heavily she goes down the hall towards Toriel. She walks up to her and tugs on her sleeve to get her attention. Toriel looks up at Frisk with a grin.
"My Child, do you need anything?"
"Yeah..... Where is the exit to the Ruins?" Frisk asks.
From that point the same thing repeated over and over. Frisk asking Toriel and Toriel always stops her. This happened so many times that Toriel decides to destroy the gate to Snowdin. She challenges Frisk every time. She threatens to bake her into a pie, too upset from children disobeying her and getting killed by other monsters. Frisk refuses to fight Toriel.
Frisk was able to dodge pretty well, considering she has done the battle twice. But she dodged too late and a fireball hit her left eye. The flames consumed her soul and it shattered in front of Toriel.
"I'm sorry, My Child," Toriel murmured
Frisk's vision went black and Flowey's shouts of her name became faint. Frisk respawned and she opened her eyes. She was laying in the same bed as earlier, staring at the ceiling. Flowey was now at Frisk's side saying her name repeatedly. Frisk turns and faces Flowey. Flowy sighs a sigh of relief and wraps his roots around Frisk's arm.
"Thank god, I thought you would never wake up."
Frisk starts to cry, knowing she probably couldn't leave the ruins. She sticks her face in her pillow and Flowey tries to soothe her. As Frisk was sobbing she noticed something on her cheek, a couple inches from the flower on her temple. She touched it ever so slightly, but then got up to ask Toriel again if she could leave.
Frisk crept down the hall and called Toriel's name. Once she reaches the living room Toriel was looking at the doorway, expecting Frisk. When Frisk walks closer Toriel notices the flower that sprouted on Frisk's cheek. Frisk asks Toriel the question once more and Toriel gives Frisk a strange look. Without Toriel asking Frisk to stay, Frisk runs into the basement with Flowey complaining on her arm. Toriel trails after them cursing so loudly that it echoed through the Ruins.
"LOOK OUT FRISK." Flowy cries.
But Frisk didn't dodge quick enough and a fireball hit her on the back. Heat tears through Frisk's body and she stumbles onto the floor and closes her eyes. She wakes up moments later to see she was in the same bed again. A new flower blossoms by Frisk's left ear. Frisk's head hurts from trying to remember how many times she asked Toriel if she could leave. How many times she died, or how many times Toriel begged her to stay.
After about four hours of trying, Frisk finally dodged Toriel's last attack. Toriel hugged Frisk tightly then walked away, never looking back. Frisk had golden buttercups all over her body. They covered her left eye and had a few in her hair. She was half blind and could only see through her right eye. Frisk could feel a couple of flowers on her left arm brushing against her blue and purple sweater. Frisk tried to remove the buttercups, but every time she did she would get dizzy or black out. That's when she realized she couldn't take them off, they were now a part of her.
