Chapter 3

Ryan came to sit at my side, I looked at him and took in his wolf. His coat has a beautiful coppery tint to it, he was sitting exactly as I was, in our alpha positions. Alex took his place laying down beside Ryan. And before I knew it Megan was laying nex to me the rest of our pack (besides Rae and Grant)were in front of us.

Where's ivy? Ryan asked

She's sick Scott answered obediantly

With what? I asked, concerned for my friend

Stomach flu Scott answered once again. How had I not noticed one of my best friends wasn't at my birthday party?

Why did you call us here? Megan asked this can't be buisness...It's your birthday...

First, I would like to be the first to announce that Rae and Grant will be getting married sometime after me and Ryan. I said proudly. 

Everybody started muttering to eachother at he same time. 

Quiet! Ryan shouted. Everybody instantly quieted down.

Now, we all need to be supportive of them. Samantha will be mad, as you know. the soul peropse of this meeting is to let you know not to tell anybody. Ryan and I will be handeling everything. So tonight is not only my birthday party anymore but also their engagement party. I said proudly.

Just then Rae and Grant walked in, still in their human forms. As soon as I saw them I shifted back into my human and ran to give them a hug, the rest of the pack right behind me.

"Rae! I am so excited for you.!" I said sincerly, looking her in the eyes. I reached down and grasped her left hand pulling it up to look at it. "It looks much better on you."

"Thank you, Jordan, It's beautiful." She said, a huge grin liting up her face. She wrapped her arms around Grant and kissed him on the cheek.  

Grant untangled himself in Rae to come give me a huge bear hug. He didn't say anything but gave me a look that told me that he appriciated me. Then he walked over to the guys, who gave him lots of pats on the back and 'congragulations.' I looked back at Rae who was practically being mauled by the other girls. I laughed and walked away.

I'd like to think that the reason that I told Grant that he should propose to Rae was because I knew she would say yes, and that would fix their relationship because Rae needs commitment. But in all reality I did it for myself. I did it because I don't want to have to go through this engagement alone, now I have Rae. This will result in major issues later with Samantha, because she will feel like Rae is taking the spotlight from me. She still wants me...needs me to be the center of everything, it's her version of 'love'

I looked at the lake and watched the water swing and sway. The reflection of the moon caused the water to appear dark blue. There were sawns floating on the surface, making a series of riglets where they land. I felt hands creep around my waist. I turned around to see Ryan smiling at me.

"Hi" I said, smiling back at him. His smile faded and he looked at me curiosly "What?"

"What were you thinking about earlier... when me and Grant were talking?" He asked, wiping hair out of my face. "And don't say nothing... I know it wasn't nothing."

"It was stupid, Ryan....It doesn't matter" I said shrugging it off and releasing him.

"Nothing you say is stupid to me and everything you say matters to me..." He said. Ryan sat down and pulled me into his lap. "So what is it."

"I'm bored." I said quickly, "Lets go do something."

"Jor, we only have like a half hour till curfew..." He said pointing at the moon.
