*Three months later*
I can’t believe how fast the last few months of school have gone. We had our graduation on Thursday, then the senior prom on Friday. The graduation went really well, though it was sad to realize that my thirteen years I’ve been in public school, starting in kindergarden and making my way to high school, was now over. Howard and Horan are really close alphabetically, so I ended up walking down the isle (to get our diplomas, we weren’t getting married or anything) with Niall, as well as sitting with him throughout the ceremony. Louis got to give a speech, which was mostly bad jokes that had Niall dying of laughter, and our short film for drama was played during the reception as we had won for most original, which was amazing. It had gone great, plus my kiss with Harry only lasted a few second, so that wasn’t too awkward. I’ve actually gotten pretty close to Liam and Harry now, as we had put our history behind us. After collecting the diplomas throwing our hats in the air, I met the boys families, who had flown out for the occasion. They were all lovely, and according to Niall his mom loved me. They left right before prom, which I went to with Niall. Louis and Zayn went with Skylar and Kimmy, though neither pair had reached the official couple level yet. It may have been for the best, as the boys were leaving in a week. I spent the entire prom, as well as almost every moment of the past few weeks, with the boys. I still can’t believe they‘re leaving. Prom had been amazing, the theme being ‘A Night in London’ which we all found pretty funny. Still, I had a great time, followed by a great night with Niall if you know what I mean. Not getting into details, but he is pretty well endowed. Anyways, onto the present. Kimmy and I were getting ready at Skylar’s, which I was fine with, as I got along much better with them the basketball players' girls. The boys were having a party, which was a mix of graduation and farewell, and practically the whole grade was invited. “You look great!” Kimmy says as I look in mirror.
“Are you sure? This dress seems a bit high.” I say, pulling the red material down a bit, though that just made my cleavage more prominent. We had gone dress shopping for this the week before, and the other two had forced me to get it. I had to admit, with the makeup and shoes, I looked pretty good. Still, what girl isn’t self conscious when wearing a dress?
“Niall is going to love it, as well as every other guy at the party.” Skylar says, touching up her makeup one last time. We head downstairs after she finishes, squishing into Kimmy’s car and driving the few blocks to the guys' house. The music could be heard around the corner, causing us all to grin. Tonight was going to be amazing. We park down the street, no closer spots being available. The door was open when we get there, so we just walk in before splitting up to find our guys. The first person I see is Zayn, who was using turntables he could hook up to his iPhone.
“Hey Emily!” He says when I reach him, taking off his headphones and pulling me into a hug.
“How’re you DJ Malik?” I laugh, returning it.
“Not to bad. Any requests?” Zayn says as he takes his seat again. I lean into him, saying it in his ear so he can hear me.
“When you see Niall and I out here, ok?” I say, and he nods, giving me a thumbs up before I rejoin the crowd. As I try to find my blonde with blue eyes, I run into Harry.
“Hey Emily!” Harry shouts over the music, turning from a guy he was talking to. “Want a drink?” I nod, letting him lead me out of the crowd and into the kitchen, which was less crowded, but still pretty full.
“I just want a beer.” I say, and he nods, pulling one out of the fridge for me. He hands it to me before making himself a drink.
“Do you know Madison?” Harry asks, taking a sip of it once he mixes it.
“I think so, is she the dirty blond?” I ask, drinking some of my own as well.
“Yah. I was thinking about asking her out.” Harry smiles. “We’ve gone on a few dates, and I really like her.”
