my name is harmony rivera. 18 years old. lives in the small rural area of rose hill. just your average girl.
today i have the test.
the test was the test that makes sure you are on the average level. you take a similar test each year to make sure you are average in intelligence. but today, is the most important test. you can only take it once, when you are 18. it makes sure you are average in everything. beauty, smarts, strength; average.
when i woke up she set her bed, brushed her hair for exactly 30 seconds on each side, went to the bathroom for 15 minutes flat, and headed downstairs. after she ate her- exactly 1500 grams- oatmeal she put on her boring sweater and headed out the door. the warm fall sun enveloped her in warmth.
i knew she was going to pass it, i'm a normal girl.
today is the day, i thought, internally doing my happy dance.

the names beckett dawson. 18 years old. lives in the suburbs of norton. i'm hardly average, and almost fails the test every year.
today i have the test.
when i woke up he threw the sheets on the ground and didn't even bother brushing my hair. i showered for 17 minutes, went downstairs, and ate over 2000 grams of oatmeal. when i finished i didn't bother wearing my jacket and left out the door. i knew i was going to get in trouble, but who cares? it'll probably be my last day on earth because today is the test.
i was going to fail it, i'm anything but normal.
today is the day, i thought, internally groaning.
