"Thank you," I replied, blushing. He nodded.

"So will you be competing against us?" He asked.

"Yeah, im only doing a jumping class though," I answered.

"Me too!" He exclaimed.

"Well may the best win," I laughed. He nodded as a speaker said something about all the jumping competition participants to go to the outdoor arena. I clicked for Arion to walk on out of the indoor arena. Ethan followed. We finally got there and he got on his horse, a tall, black horse with a plaited mane. I watched and cheered my team. Then, it was my turn.

"We can do this Arion," I whispered. We trotted into the arena and did a few laps at canter and then my round started. I pointed Arion at the first jump: a big cross rail which he cleared perfectly. The next jump was a high gate jump which he messed up on but only his leads. The rest of the course was oxers and gate jumps, and a water jump at the end. When I finished, my whole team cheered, including Ethan. I smiled brightly and proudly patted Arion.

Ethan and his team did the course and only some of them made mistakes. Ethan did amazing. We all waited for the results. Then the judge spoke.

"In third place, Hunter Donovan on the academy's thoroughbred mare, Moxy!" He exclaimed. I looked at Hunter and clapped and smiled. She got her ribbon and hugged Moxy.

"In second place, Ethan Hughes on his British warmblood gelding, Orion!" The judge exclaimed. I looked at Ethan and his whole team patting him on the back. I clapped for him and smiled.

"And in first place.... Emily Johnson on her Hanoverian gelding, Arion!" He cheered. I gasped while my team and Ethan cheered and clapped happily for me.
