Alex drove home as Tobin talked about a new restaurant she visited that served fried ice cream.

Alex was perfectly fine listening to her girlfriend talk, finding her voice very soothing. She could listen to her voice for hours and never get tired of it.

Despite the calm that settled over her in the presence of her girlfriend, she couldn't shake the feeling in the pit of her stomach. She recognized it as anxiety and she knew it was because of Christen.

She didn't understand how the woman could have such a profound affect on her when she was undoubtedly in love with the woman sitting next to her.

She was definitely going to talk to Tobin tonight before either of them went to bed. They pulled up to the house and was hit with the most tantalizing aroma of breakfast food.

They rounded the corner to see Christen cooking in some very short shorts and a tank top, Alex's tank top, with no bra on. Alex jerked at the burst inside her chest, not unlike the moment she realized she was in love with Tobin. Oh fucking boy she thought.

Tobin eyed the scantily clad forward with the same expression as her girlfriend. Christen was always beautiful to her but it was something about seeing her in their house with her girlfriend's tank top (which was also hers by extension) on that really opened up her eyes. She gulped and averted her eyes in an attempt to be respectful.

Christen turned at the eerie feel of being watched and instantly broke into a grin at the sight of her favorite couple.

"Good morning Alex and Tobin," Christen beamed as she gathered them in a hug. They quickly returned it, hugging the woman a little longer than they typically would with anyone else.

"Breakfast is almost done so you guys can stick around if you want," Christen offered to the couple.

"Thanks Chris for making breakfast. We'll be right back, we just have to see to something real quick." Alex replied as she tugged on the hand of her girlfriend. She had briefly caught Tobin looking at Christen and figured this was a good opportunity to talk to her.

Tobin peeled her eyes from the black haired forward and followed after her girlfriend onto the patio. Alex flopped down on a deck chair with a giant huff of defeat. Tobin looked at her curiously, patiently waiting to hear what her girlfriend had to say.

"Babe, before I start I just wanted to remind you that you can confide in me about anything and I promise to keep a cool head and a open mind," Alex stated earnestly.

"Of course I know that. You were my best friend before you were my girlfriend."

"Good. Ummm ok...hold on, give me a second." Alex struggled to gather her thoughts as Tobin grew increasingly worried at the prospect of bad news.

"Ok so our relationship is absolutely wonderful. I can honestly say that you truly make me happy in ways that I never was before. If I didn't have you in my life, I would not be the person I am today. With this being said, I have noticed something odd that has never happened to me before. My eyes have started to stray. My thoughts have been consumed with you and this other person. If I know anything about myself and romance, I would even say I have started developing feelings for this person and it scares me. What scares me even more is that I have noticed the same in you. The scary part is not the fall, its the dream and the hope that we could all be together." Alex swallowed hard and averted her eyes after her speech.

Tobin blinked several times at a bit of a loss. "Lex...what are you?...I'm not... what?" Tobin was utterly flustered, despite knowing that her girlfriend was very observant.

"It's ok babe. You don't have to deny it because its so obvious to me. What I want to know is how do we move forward? This is a tough situation because obviously Christen isn't chiming in with what she wants. We need to be on the same page before we leave out this door." Alex looked intently at Tobin, patiently waiting for her to comprehend then reply.
