Ochos Rios, Jamaica

Christen opened her eyes and immediately came face to face with deep baby blues. Alex smiled at her and kissed her softly on the nose. Christen smiled back and turned so half her face was covered in the pillows.

They had been dating for four years yet Christen still wasn't used to waking up to either beauty. They both managed to look flawless while she typically looked like she had been wrestling a bear. Her hair always ended up all over the place if she didn't put it up and last night they were a bit preoccupied.

She felt an arm fling over her waist and pull slightly and turned to peek at Tobin who was still sound asleep. She couldn't help but chuckle at the small silver of dribble that was escaping her slightly parted lips. How cute.

"Babe what time is it?" She asked, stretching as far as Tobin's arm let her. She was used to ending up in the middle spot and thus having no access to her phone.

"It is 10:51 am love. Would you like to help make us breakfast?" Alex asked as they both rolled out of bed and headed to their respective suitcases.

The hotel room they were in came equipped with a kitchen. It came in handy seeing as all three of them had their picky moments with food. Chris couldn't help the laughter that escaped her mouth at the blue eyed beauty's words.

"Help? Did you seriously just say that? Come now honey lets not fool ourselves." Christen said slyly as she shimmied into some spandex shorts.

"You know what I meant you smart-ass." Alex mock glared as her girlfriend led the way to the kitchen. She sat on a stool at the counter and obediently waited for instructions.

After several minutes of feeling eyes on her every movement, Christen turned to meet the other forward's stare. "Just relax. You can sit right there and look pretty and Tobs can sleep in. I'll handle breakfast. This trip is for you guys to have fun."

"I know but I'm the one who wanted a home cooked breakfast this morning. It's only fair that I help. I really don't mind. Besides its not even my birthday yet. You booked this whole trip for us so at least let me contribute a little." Alex was borderline whining but Christen just found it adorable.

She had, in fact, booked and paid for this week long vacation with her girlfriends. It was the month in between Tobin and Alex's birthday. She didn't want the hassle of having to hide and plan from and for both of her girlfriends so she had asked if they wanted to do a joint thing since their birthdays were basically a month apart.

The vacation was the present but they were unaware of the surprise party that would take place when they touched back in the states. She had no issue with taking care of everything since they always went all out for her.

Her last birthday was definitely top five and it was all thanks to her loves. It was amazing how her girlfriends had different approaches to love but they managed to mesh so well. Tobin and Alex had differing love languages, but between the two, they covered all the bases to have her feeling truly content.

Tobin took a more subtle approach if being treated like a queen can be considered subtle. On special occasions or whenever she felt it necessary, she would wait on her hand and foot. Give her ful body massages, rub her feet, cook, leave love notes, and buy a singular meaningful gift that she added to her list of 'things with sentimental value' that was quickly becoming a thing as time passed. Tobin knew how to tap into her emotional psyche like no other had before and probably never will after. Tobin had her feeling like a school girl with a fleet of boys at her disposal but there was only one woman, well two, but Alex would come later. It was probably safe to say that Tobin coddled her, and she absolutely loved it.

Alex, on the otherhand, was anything but subtle. Alex did everything bold, including expressing how she cared. She was a busy woman but best believe her schedule would be cleared in a second if Christen so much as suggested thats what she wanted. Alex was the type to rent out a movie theatre so Christen could watch the four movies that came out in one month that she couldn't find the free time to watch with someone. She would listen to Christen talk and make notes mentally, then the planning would start. Well after Christen likely forgot about her wants and needs her damn self, Alex would swoop in and not just remind her but exceed her expectations completely. Alex made her feel like a middle aged widow that just rediscovered herself. Fully reinvigorated with life, unsure of what she was doing, but emboldened nonetheless.

It was the perfect balance between comfortability and being intrepid. She didn't feel like her appreciation for her girlfriends was shown as outwardly as it could be so her plans had to be perfect.

"Its fine babe. Relax for once. Thats how I intended it. Now go wake up Tobin. Food should be done soon." Alex responded with a pout and a quick kiss before disappearing into the hotel bedroom.

Christen was just finishing up plating the last of the blueberry pancakes when Tobin and Alex walked in the kitchen. Tobin gave her a kiss in greeting then started up the coffee machine. She had been super tired after their day in the water. She had spent the most time in the water, completely enthralled with what the Blue Hole in Ochos Rios had to offer.

They dug in and started their usual breakfast routine of making funny faces at each other. It was childish but it was them. It had started after Tobin had to get numbed for a dental operation. She had trouble eating and her girlfriends had had a lot of fun at her expense but she remained lighthearted enough to join in on the teasing the next morning. It stuck ever since and got them all in a good mood for the day.

"Where do you guys want to go today? We can do the Rio Grande River or Mystic Mountain?" Christen asked before taking a bite of her eggs.

"Honestly it doesn't matter as long as I'm with you two. If I could travel the world with my ladies I would be the happiest person alive." Tobin said, looking each woman in the eye.

"I mean that's the plan right? Wait for the next world cup cycle to pass so we can retire in the next four years or so then travel for awhile. Settle into retirement but maybe pick up an endeavor or two. Adopt a few dogs, a couple cats. Live like old married wives that will have seen the world." Alex shrugged after her little spiel. Playing with her half full glass of lemonade.

"We might have to add a human kid somewhere in there." Christen smirked.

"Oh yeah we might. Need at least two though if that happens." Tobin said nonchalantly.

"That could be a thing. Its a possibility." Alex said seriously.

"That is the plan though. I have been dreading this period of my life for the longest but for once I feel completely serene when thinking about retirement. Its just another thing to tackle with my girls by my side." Tobin was grinning by the end of her confession.

They looked at each other smiling and raised their glasses of lemonade.

"To our future together that will be filled with travels, non human kids, and the possibility of at least two human kids. And to forever. Cheers my loves." Alex said before they all clinked their glasses together and passed around 'I love you's.

Three, is indeed, a magical number.

AN: Truly did not have the heart to write pass their retirement. Don't want to have to live through that twice so allusions will have to do.
