I woke up and Austin was gone. There was a note on my bedside table. Fuck what Hannah says. I love you, Drew, and I’ll be with you no matter what. Meet me at the park tomorrow.

I was so happy I squealed, shaking the note and laughing. My happiness was short-lived, however. Riley flew in my room and grabbed my ankle, making me fall and pulling me to the edge of my bed. His nose touched mine.

“I just put that fucking baby to sleep for the third time,” he hissed. “Be fucking quiet, you fatass. Wake her up again and I’ll fry your legs and make you eat them.”

“Sorry,” I whispered, backing away from him.

He backed away from me and walked out the room, giggling and mumbling to himself. The lack of sleep must’ve gotten to him.

I got out of bed and almost fell. I’d forgotten I was going to be sore for a few days. Austin went really hard and he was really big. I lost my virginity to him. Scott and I just had anal once or twice, but I didn’t want him to break me until we were older and married. Hah.

I gingerly went into my bathroom, inspecting myself. I had a huge hickey on my neck, hickeys dotting my breasts and the insides of my thighs. My hair looked like I’d been wrestling with a grizzly bear. But I was happy.

I took a shower and threw on black leggings and a red flannel shirt over a tank top. Riley was in the living room eating an omelet.

“Dem hickeys,” he said, looking me up and down. I yanked my collar up, grinning.

“So he finally got his magic wand in the hobbit hole,” he said. “I knew he would eventually.” I slugged him on the shoulder. “Yeah,” I said, sitting down and grimacing. “It was amazing. He just-”

“Yeah, no one cares. How big is his dick?” Riley asked quickly, cutting me off. I scrunched my nose up, thinking. I held my hands apart, estimating. Riley’s eyes got big.

“Big, but not bigger than Alex,” he said, wiggling his eyebrows mischievously.

“You didn’t!” I gasped. Riley nodded vigorously.

“Oh, I did,” he said. “I rode that pony like the cowgirl I am.”

“I didn’t know Alex was gay,” I said.

“Neither did he, until I brought it out of him,” Riley said, giggling, then he got serious. “So what happened? Austin left early this morning, at like six. He just kissed Blakely on the forehead and fist bumped me and left.”

“Paparazzi caught us kissing at the park. We’re the front page story. You could only see me from the back, but I knew people that know me would recognize it. Hannah, his publicist, said it was best for us to break up to protect me.”

“Huh,” Riley said thoughtfully. “Lemme guess. No break up?” I pulled Austin’s note out of my bra and showed it to him.

“Omg,” Riley said, fanning himself with his hand. “That is so adorbs!”

“I know,” I said, blushing. “I knew it. I knew he loved me.”

“It’s like forbidden love,” he said, brushing an imaginary tear out of his eye. We both groaned as Blakely’s screams filled the silence.

“Where the fuck is this little bitch’s actual parents?” Riley complained. “Sounds like a goddamn siren.” I hit him in the arm again and got up to go get her.

This time, she didn’t stop crying. I rocked her, sang to her like Austin did, fed her, I tried everything. So did Riley.

“What the fuck does she want?” he said, frustrated when even he couldn’t get her to quit.

“She wants Austin,” I said, sitting down and putting my hands in my head. “He always knew what to do.”

“Well, call his ass,” Riley growled, “before I murder someone.”

Knowing he was most likely serious, I picked up the phone and called Austin.

Austin’s POV

Drew called me right as I was leaving a tiring interview with Hannah. People I don’t know asking me personal questions I don’t want to talk about made me tense and nervous, but we’d gotten through it.

“Hey,” I answered my phone, getting in the car with Hannah.

“Austin,” Drew sighed, and I knew hearing my voice relaxed her, just like me hearing hers relaxed me.

“I missed you so fucking much,” I said.

“Someone else does, too,” Drew said, and then I heard loud crying that I recognized as Blakely’s in my ear. Grimacing, I held the phone farther from my head.

“Damn,” I said. “What happened to her?”

“She wants you,” Drew said simply. “Me and Riley tried everything. Wearing your clothes and laying down with her, singing to her like you do, nothing’s working. She can tell it isn’t the same.

“Put the phone on speaker,” I said.

            “Alright, it’s on.

I heard the crying again. “Blakely, stop crying,” I said. “It’s Austin, okay? I’m here.” Almost instantly, she got quieter until her wails were reduced to sniffling.

“Thank the motherfucking lord!” I heard Riley shouting in the background. “I was about to slice this bitch up!”  I grinned at Hannah, shaking my head. Same old Ri.

“See, that’s better,” I continued in a soft, soothing voice. “You don’t have to cry. It’s okay. I’ll see you in a few days and everything will be fine.” I heard her babbling. “You want me to sing? Okay, here goes.”

I took a deep breath. “I don’t mind it, I don’t mind if you’re overrated, or if you’re standing at the edge of the world…”

To my surprise, everyone else, even Hannah, joined in. “Keep in mind that I’m a sore eye with blurry vision…”

By the time we were done, Drew informed me that Blakely had stopped crying completely and Riley was giving her a bath.

“I better go,” she said. “Riley’s still pretty mad because he didn’t get any sleep. I wouldn’t want him to try to drown her.”

“Wait,” I said. “We’re still on for tomorrow, right?”

“I wouldn’t miss it for anything, Austin. I love you.

“I love you too, Drew. Dress nice, okay?”

            “I will.

We both hung up. I put my beanie on, my ray bans, and pulled my shirt sleeves down to cover my tattoos. I looked virtually unrecognizable.

“Where to next, captain?” Hannah said. I sighed.

“You can drop be off to get Lucy, and then i'm going to Gielle’s house, I guess.”

I had shit to get straight.
