"She's out there somewhere Toby she's alive"

It's been 2 weeks since Violet had been found she's slowly getting back to normal but all she wants all any of us want is Avery back as well. I walk out to the truck parked outside our house "What are you doing?" I ask Toby as he leans against his truck "I'm going to work I've gotta find our daughter" I nod leaning against the truck also "She's out there somewhere Toby she's alive" He nods leaning forward gently kissing my cheek "I love you" My smile fades into a frown as I watch him go "Will you come back?" I ask him with his back turned to me he freezes turning looking at me "What are you talking about?" He asks in clear confusion "I-I almost lost Violet and Avery's still missing I don't want to loose you too" He wrap's his arms around my waist kissing me softly and tenderly "I'll come back I meant what I said I won't ever let you go again" I nod letting him go "I love you too"

"Mummy!" I hear Violet scream from downstairs "Violet!" I shout running downstairs with my phone in my hand "What's wrong?" I ask her but am quick to see what she screamed at as I take notice of a cardboard box. I slowly lean over gasping as I see a dead rat in the box blood covering it's fur. A note left on it I take the note out reading it carefully You got lucky last time, Avery's never coming back

Tears slide down my cheeks as I turn around looking at Violet "Mummy? You're crying" She frowns I nod giving her my best smile that I can muster up "I'm fine sweetheart it's okay, I'm just going to call dad okay?" She nods sitting on the sofa continuing to read her picture book. I dial Toby's number as I stand in the kitchen leaning against the counter. "Hello?" More tears slide down my cheeks "T-Toby" I stutter my heart clenching in my chest "Spencer? What's wrong?" I take a deep breath "Someone left a message for us" I hear him curse under his breath "Just tell me babe" I nod wiping my watery eyes "A dead rat was left in a box with a note saying 'you got lucky last time Avery's never coming back'" I can hear Toby cursing and other people's muffled voice's in the background. "I want you and Violet to come to the Station at least that way you two will be safe here" I nod ending the call and quickly packing a bag off everything we'd need depending on how long we'll be gone. "Mummy where are we going?" Violet asks as I put her in her seat doing up her seatbelt "We're going to dad's work" She nods smiling softly "Because dad will take care of us" My eyes widen at her words but I nod agreeing with them "Yes he will always take care of us"

Everyone now knew about the rat and message left for us they we're now looking if people had seen anyone outside the house. "We're never going to be safe again" I say as Toby and I sit in his office while Violet sleeps soundly on the sofa "Yes we will I told you that I would keep you guys safe. I won't let anything happen to the people I love" I look at him tears sliding down my cheeks "And what if we never see Avery again? I can't loose her Toby we can't loose her. And what about Violet? They're sisters I know what it's like to be so close to you're sister. We almost lost Avery once" Toby put's his hand over mine squeezing tightly "I promise you I will never stop searching for Avery I will never stop until the day I die" Just as he says that his phone goes off with a message And that's going to be sooner than you think

Toby takes my hand and we quickly grab Violet and walk outside to show Toby's boss "Whoever  is doing this in the building" He shows him the message and explains what Toby had said. "Someone in here is working for whoever took you're daughters" And that's when we hear the soft sound of beeping "Everyone quiet!" Toby's boss shouts everyone goes silent and hears the soft beeping "Bomb!" Toby shouts "Spencer!" Toby shouts as the bomb goes off and I go flying against the wall the last thing I hear is Violet shouting out to me before I pass out into darkness.

"My mum and dad will find you" Avery hisses as she sits on the ground her hand's tied above her head to the pole "Oh Avery you're so silly I've already taken care of them" Her eyes widen "You're parents and sister are dead"
