A/N yay i updated lol and we all know who owns Divergent and CHECK OUT MY NEW STORY PLS OKAY ILY

Tobias pov

The yellow team chants until they're out of hearing reach. I can't help but worry about Tris, I mean, sure, she has Uriah and Will on her team, so if anything happens they would protect her, but...

" So where are we hiding the flag?" Shauna says from beside me

"The fountain" I say and everyone looks at me with disbelief. The fountain is in the middle of this huge park, with it's glowing lights and water spouts it looks beautiful, but nobody ever looks inside because what idiot would hide a flag somewhere so obvious and easy?

"You want to be that giant flag in the fountain?"

"Really dude? even I wouldn't do that" Zeke scoffs and I roll my eyes

"That is idiotic," Matthew says

"Just think about it, the yellow team will probably past that thing a million times and not notice a thing, theres already lights in there so it's not like it'll glow, and why would they look in a place so obvious? remember, that team always goes for the hard spots" At my words my red team finally understands

"Okay, let's win this. And, do not pity. No matter what, you don't know what tricks the yellow team will be pulling since they have Tris" Lynn says to everyone, but points at me "especially you, don't get distracted Tobias"

"Oh I don't plan on pitiying, I plan on winning

Tris's pov

"So, Tris, since you're our captain, where should we hide the flag?" Marlene says while putting her arm on my shoulder. I suprisingly don't feel uncomfortable, it seems like we did this before, like it's a normal thing, and i'm happy that she's treating me almost as if nothing happened.

I shrug. "You guys could choose,"

"Come on, you're our leader!".

"Um, in a tree?"

They all laugh. "Last month you said a tree would be the stupidest place to hide the flag," Uriah says

"It would be.... unless we have a plan,"

Cara gives me a weird look "What kind of plan?"

I smile, and tell them. Christina squels, "That's genuis! we'll totally win this!" she runs over and almost tackles me, she's in a way different mood than she was earlier.

"Okay yellow team," Will says, hearing them all so happy and normal makes me smile, I don't want to be pitied, I don't want to be treated like some kicked puppy, I want to be treated like how I was, like how I am. "Let's kick some red team butt!"

Tobias's pov

After laying the flag, we decide who'll guard the flag, and who'll search. Since we only have five team members, Lauren and Shauna will be guarding the flag, and Zeke, Lynn, and I will go shoot the other team and get the flag.

It feels like a relief to be out of the house, and actually having some fun. Don't get me wrong, I love talking to Tris and stuff, but talking to her sometimes make me want to just let it out, cry, yell, and I keep myself distracted by talking to her, but just hearing her voice and noticing how lost it is makes me want scream at the person who did this to her. In the times that i'm not talking to her, i'll walk around, trying to let myself be distreacted by little things, but my thoughs often lead back to her, like it is now. What if she's uncomfortable with them? what if they're treating her like theres something wrong with her? shut up.

Talking to friends are okay, but we always end up talking about Tris.

"Tobias!" Zeke yells and I roll my eyes

"I'm coming!" I look back once more at the fountain, Shauna and Lauren are hiding behind the bushes, so if someone comes too close to our little hiding spot, they could jump out of the bushes and shoot them with their paint guns.

-

The lights set up around this park makes it way easier to see, but I still can't spot any members of the other team. If they're hiding, they're hiding good, maybe they're all hidden somewhere and when we come near one of them, they'll just shoot us, steal the flag and win the game. and we can't let that happen. So I tell Zeke and Lynn to split up, at least they can't get all of us at once if they're doing what I think they're doing.

Just then, I hear a thump, and a whimper following. Being the curious person I am, I follow the noise and is suprised to see Tris, examining her leg and looking like she's trying not to cry. I run up to her, almost forgetting about the game going on right now. I throw my paintball gun around my shoulder so it's laying on my back and kneel next to her.

"Tris! are you okay? what happened?" She blushes a little and I take a good look at her leg, it's bruised and looks almost broken, or maybe just sprained, I never knew the diffrence on the looks.

"I, well, I was spying on you, then I sorta fell out of the tree" She laughs, and she looks cute when she's emberessed. Her gun is at her side, and not on the strap where it's supposed to be.

"Here, i'll help you up, you can sit out. i'll tell my team not to shoot you," She nods and I slowly and carefully, help her up, but it's hard to know when i'm careful or not when she lets out whimpers every few seconds.

With her arm around my shoulders, and my arm around her waist, I take her to one of the benches and text my team not to shoot her because she's hurt.

I get a reply a few seconds later

from: Lynn

What happened to not pitying her?

I shake my head

to: Lynn

It'a not pitying, it's called being nice and helping. you would to the same thing, i know you would

It takes her long to reply this time but it's just a 'fine'

-

A few minutes after examining her foot again, I hear Christina. "Tris! where are you? are you okay?"

I turn to Tris "Not very wise of her to be shouting right now," I get up and head towards Christina's voice. I catch a glimpse of her running and before I could shoot her, I feel a sharp pain in my back, and when I look back Tris is standing up, her gun in hand, and she's laughing

"I can't believe you fell for that!" She yells and points to the fountain for Christina.

You're an idiot, Tobias. I regret making the stupid descision of telling her where the flag is, great, now the yellow team wins.

Apperenly, Shauna and Lauren were talking and didn't even notice Christina and Tris running towards the fountain.

The yellow team gathers around Christina and Tris and cheers, I groan. Zeke and Lynn come running in a few minutes later.

"Ugh, what happened to 'i'm planning on winning' thing, hm Four?" Zeke asks me and I roll my eyes.
