[Ace' 8th grade year]
The snow fluttered down, the thin glass making a border between the classroom and the 22° breeze.
I hate frost years.

A boy with blue and black hair thought as the teacher continued with her lesson. The kid had his head on his crossed arms. While All the other kids continued to write down what she was saying.

The bright projector shined in the dark room showing the basics and examples of professional imagery.
The boy couldn't care less. It was the second to last week of school and the teacher was going over notes for a test.

Every 4 years, more locally known as a Frost Year. The seasons Summer and Winter flip. Making it close to below zero in July when it would normally be around 90°F.

What causes this, is the strong winds that are always blowing through or around the City. This causes a lot of tornado warnings Every Frost Year, resulting in students missing a lot of school. Which the kids have to make up for in the "Winter".

"Ms.Caven, Ace is asle-"
"I'm not sleep" the boy responded, glaring up at the girl with a look strong enough to turn anyone to stone. Her curly blondish- orange hair swayed as she turned around.

"Ace. Do you need to go splash some water on your face" the teacher requested.

"I wasn't sleep"

"Well if you didn't have your head down then we wouldn't have any reason to accuse you of sleeping"

Ace slouched back in his seat. Leaning his right elbow on the back of his chair. Holding back from saying anything he might regret.

"You should probably start taking note-*phone rings*. Hello. Ms.Caven speaking. Oh really. This late in the year. Okay then. Send her up" The teacher puts back down the phone and walks over to the light switch, flipping it on.

Several students covered their eyes and uncovered them.
"Okay Everyone. I'm going to let you guys kind of chill for the rest of the class period since its the end of the day. I don't care if you have out your phones but you can't get to loud" It was almost like the teacher gave an order, in seconds everyone took out there phone.

Some playing video games, others on Social media.
Ace rummaged through his bag and got on his phone.
The teacher began to clean up her paper covered desk and gave a stack of graded test to a girl who dyed her hair blue and green. She gave Ace his test and he was furious.

"How did I get a 30 on a test that was five questions....and a bonus?"
A kid with a broken nose that sat in front of Ace turned around.

"I will bet 5 dollars that if you paid attention in class. You wouldn't have failed" he snickered, a white bandage strapped over his nose.

"And I will bet 20 that if you would've kept your nose out of other people's business. It wouldn't be broken"
"Oooooohhh" a few nearby students instigated.

"Shut it" Ace shouted, grabbing his bag out the empty seat beside him and moving to the other side of the room. His friend, Alex, talking to a girl.

"And that's when I broke the dude's ankles and shot. Nothing but net" Alex boasted. Reenacting The story with an invisible basketball.

"Wow that's amazing" the girl replied. Her perky voice matching her small stature almost perfectly.
"Wow. If only you could talk to him without blushing" Ace shot at her sitting at the desk behind Alex.
The girl blushed even more before turning around. A hurt expression on her face.

"What did you do that for" Alex pouted.
"No reason. I just like crushing people's ego. Also their self esteem"
"But I was just talking to her. She didn't do anything wrong"

"You and I both know she likes you. And you talking to her like you don't know is only going to make it worse when she musters up the little courage she has. To ask you out"

"What makes you think i wouldn't date her"
"Because your dating Gabby"
"No I'm not.....Crap. I forgot to break up with her"

"As if she would let you"

"True. Dude. Did you hear about the poison girl"
"Who?"

"She is a beautiful girl that has bright green hair. Rumor has it that her parents died due to a poison that scientist have never seen before. Some people saw her earlier today in the front office"

"She sounds like a myth. Bright green hair? If anything it sounds like it's dyed."

"Your one to talk. Mr. Bright blue with black edges"
"I'm honestly convinced all the people in this class are trying to tick me off"
"Hahaha"

Suddenly the brown door in the front of the class opened and everyone went silent.

A girl with Bright green hair walks through the door. Her beautiful sparkling white skin immediately caught the eye of Ace. Not a single flaw.

A simple black cat eye, arched the end of her eye, it was difficult to even notice her makeup.

She wore a peach colored blouse with casual blue jeans. Open toed black closed back shoes with straps wrapped around her ankle. She was stunning.

"This is Jasmine Morris. She just moved here from across the country. I hope you all will treat her with respect" The teacher announced.

"Well. Just like she said my name is Jasmine Morris" The girl announced,"hope you wi-" She stopped in the middle of her sentence, glancing at the back of the class.

Everyone else followed her eyes too stopping at Ace.
Jasmine walked down the middle of the desks. Passing by the other students who sat gazed and amazed by the her beauty.

She stopped directly in front of Ace. He looked up at her and noticed it. She was looking at his hair.

"We're the same. Both born with crazy colored hair" she laughed with a small smile.
"So your hair isn't fake?" Ace asked.
" I am offended." She gasped dramatically. Putting her hand on her chest. Still smiling.
"How can you tell? How can you tell my hair isn't dyed"
"Because of your roots"

The final bell rang. Breaking everyone's attention from Jasmine. And all the guys' glares from Ace.

[Later that Night]

"Seems like everything is going according to plan. Wouldn't you say so Rune" An old man with rectangle glasses snickered. The bright light beaming down on Jasmine.

"Definitely. I can't believe that the hybrid ran here, of all places. I guess it was a good idea to brainwash this girl" Rune answered. Walking up to him, handing over the needle with a purple liquid.

"Thank you. With 3 more doses of this, she will be completely under our control. Everything is following the plan, just as I predicted" he accepted. Injecting the poison into the unconscious Jasmine.

"Let me make sure I have the plan right. First. She makes the Hybrid fall for her. Then when the time is right she crushes his heart. Then in the future his guardian will..."

"When the time comes I will have him see his Guardian for what She truly is. My experiment. When he is angered and emotional. We will swoop in and snatch him. In the future there will be changes to the plan, tangling with a hybrid always carries casualties. Good news about The poison is that it kills the host in around 2 to 4 years"

"What if she tells others of our plan. She could end up exposing us"
"Don't worry. This girl is far to weak to be a threat. Besides. By the time She does become strong. She will be on the brink of death. Without me to give her orders, the poison will kill her from the inside out"

After all the liquid was injected into her body. Jasmine's eyes opened.
Her whole body felt numb. She couldn't move. The poison was already in her brain.

At 8pm Sharp she is to report back to Rune and the Old Man, Dr.Kio.

The poison they used to kill her parents was different, yet the same.
How she wasn't dead, Is what really puzzled her.

By enrolling her as someone from across the country. They were able to move her from a neighboring city. And no one be the wiser.

Suddenly her entire eye was blanketed by a dark purple before vanishing. Lasting only a second. Flickering repetitively.
