xii. afternoon

I woke up and noticed Negan wasn't beside me, I sat up and looked around. He was gone. I stood up, looked by the door, and saw that his boots were gone. He'd left, but where to?

I slid my boots on and walked out the door.

I made it to the cafeteria and looked down to the tables to see if he was there, and he wasn't. I was confused now, where had he gone? He was injured, he should be resting! Well, I guess we're talking about Negan here so, maybe he's fine.

I went outside and looked around. He wasn't there either, so I ran back inside. A savior walked up to me. "Looking for someone?" I nodded. "I'm looking for Negan, do you know where he is?" I asked. He shook his head, and I ran back upstairs. I headed to the room where the ladies were, and saw something I didn't want to see.

His back was to me, as Sherry had him by the shirt, kissing him. My eyes went wide and all of the girls in the room looked at me. Negan kept kissing her, and i ran out of the room. When I left, Sherry let him go, and he stood up giving her an angry look. "WHAT THE FUCKING HELL WAS THAT FOR?!" He slapped her across the face and she gasped.

He stormed out of the room and went back to my room. I was lying in the bed crying, sobbing my eyes out, after what I'd just seen. He saw me and ran over. "(Y/n)! It's not what it looked like!" He said nervously. I turned and slapped him hard across the face. "You asshole! I saw you kissing Sherry!!" Tears were flooding my eyes as I sat there.

How could he do this to me?!

He grabbed my hand and I pulled it away. "(Y/n)... Let me explain...!" He said putting his hand on my shoulder. Sherry was outside the door smiling, she'd done exactly what she'd wanted. She hated my guts, and wanted revenge on me. So, she figured out my weakness, I loved Negan.

He went to the other side of the bed and I turned away. "Please.. Let me explain what happened!!" He said tears filling his eyes. I turned to him and sat up. "Why should I, you... You... CHEATER!" I yelled in his face and I could see the happiness drain out of him.

He loved me so much, and he felt like he was losing me. "Please..." He said. I sat up and took a deep breath. "Okay fine. Tell me. What were you doing with her?! Huh? Go on.." I said angrily as he sat beside me.

"She woke me up and pulled me into that room, I was too tired and weak to stop her... She dragged me in there and started kissing me. It was terrible... The only person I want affection and love from is you. I swear, I would never break your heart! You mean the world to me, and if I lost you, I don't know what I'd do..." He began to cry.

That's when I knew he was telling the truth. He only cries when he means something... I turned to him and hugged him tight. He smiled and hugged back. "I'm sorry... I jumped to conclusions... It's just I feel the same way about you... You mean the world to me... And I walked in and saw that... And it broke my heart... You're the only man I've ever loved..." I cried into his shoulder as we sat on the bed.

He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small box.

He got on his knee on the floor, and opened the small box to reveal a ring. He cleared his throat, and tears filled my eyes, and I began to blush. "(Y/n) will you marry me..?" He said shyly.

I jumped off of the bed and hugged him tightly. "YES! Yes! Yes! Yes!" I yelled happily as hurried to him, wrapping my arms tightly around him. He took my hand and slid the ring onto my ring finger. I smiled and he smiled back. Gently, he kissed my hand and I hugged him once more.

"I love you Negan."

"I love you too (y/n)."
