The days ahead consisted of work, work, and more work. Negan always dragged me out to do his dumb chores. Everything from cleaning to guarding, I did it all.
He'd joke about it constantly, saying I was quote on quote fiery every time I'd snap back at him for being a complete asshole. I hated him with my whole being, hating this place. Everywhere I looked, people were nervous around Negan. Scared for their lives.

Then the day came when I found out who he truly was. A fucking monster.
One of his main group of men decided it'd be a good idea to betray him with a group nearby. All I heard was the word Alexandria. I wondered if that group of people was any different, maybe nicer.
Negan grabbed the thinner built man and pushed him straight into the large stone fire pit. All I could hear was the crackling and sizzling of his skin inside the pit, as I watched in absolute terror. Oh my god..
Negan held him there, pinning him to his doom. Negan's expression was what scared me.

Until, he offered to take me along on a supply run did I see him differently.
We left the Sanctuary in military vehicles. He sat across from me, arms crossed across his chest, his eyes piercing. His leather jacket shining in the sunlight.
*
After a while, we rolled to a stop, the breaks of the vehicles squealing. Negan stood up, looking to me, motioning for me to stand. "Let's show you how it's done around here." He said, a triumphant smile on his face.
I rolled my eyes, following along behind him. I had nothing I could do to get out of this.
*
The road ahead was covered in broken down cars, dead bodies, and so much blood. I get sick to my stomach at the sight, but held it in to not show weakness to Negan. That's what he wanted.
The woods beside the road had a small trail leading between the trees. Negan motioned to the rest of the crew to clear the road and head onward. But he stopped to look at me.
"We're taking the trail."
He said swinging his barbed bat around. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a small pocketknife, tossing it to me.
I caught it, uncovering the tiny silver knife inside, ready to fight. I knew I couldn't use it on Negan, he was at an advantage with that damn bat. It was so intimidating.

We walked into the woods, watching and listening for any threats.
The brush to my left cracked and broke as a walker appeared, it's face half torn off, a hole in its chest. It looks like a man, an average height man with scraggly, patchy brown hair and faded eyes.
It hurried toward me, bringing me to the ground. Frantically, I tried to stab it with the tiny pocket knife from my pocket. It didn't budge, and crimson blood dropped onto me. My breaths staggered as I struggled.
I can't let it get me. It can't end like this...
"NO!"
Negan spins around, hurrying toward me, his bat in his hand. With a loud CRACKK the walker flies off of me, the side of its head smashed in. I breathe heavily as I stand up, brushing the dirt and leaves off of myself.
Negan stands there looking at me a concerned look on his face. "You alright!" He asks, a strangely sincere tone to his voice.
I nod, brushing it off, continuing down the dusty path ahead. He stands there for a minute, then catches up.
