Jade stretches as she sits up, yawning. She looks around at the alleyway she slept in the night before. With a sigh, she stands up and brushes off, then grabs her bag and heads off to the nearest gas station. She pulls up her hoodie and tucks her hands in her pockets.

She pushes the door open and walks past the aisles to the restroom. Turning on the water, she runs a hand over her tattoo

She looks at her reflection in the mirror. Long black hair, with brunette and auburn mixed with blond natural roots showing. Her gaze trails down to stare herself in the eyes. Dark, almost black eyes flecked with gold that sparkle in the buzzing lights of the restroom. Her lightly tanned skin, almost perfect except for the scattered little scars from her past.

As her gaze travels to her chest, she notices something's missing and her heart stops.

"My locket! Crap!!" Jade exclaims as she frantically feels around her neck for the lost jewelry.

Biting her nails, she thinks as to where she could have lost it. Her head snaps up as she recalls the collision.

"It HAS to be there..." she murmurs before shoving open the door and hurriedly walking out of the store.

Daniel, after another morning of scolding from his mother, is walking to school, clutching the ends of his panda cap in his fists.

"Yelling at me for such a little thing.... at ME!" he mutters, kicking a rock. His eyes follow it to where it comes rolling to a stop. The corner where he ran into that mysterious girl...

A flash of gold catches his eye. he bends over and picks up a necklace, with a oval locket linked on.

Curious, he opens it. A gasp escapes his lips as he recognizes a picture of the girl from the morning before. On the other side is a photo of an older woman, whom he guessed was her mother.

Gently placing the necklace in his pocket, he continues on his way to school, a smile forming on his face. This just may be his chance to find out who that girl is.
