Jade nervously walks down the street, heading back to the intersection. She cracks her knuckles in her pockets of her hoodie. She's never stayed in one area for more than two days. She needs to find her necklace and get the hell out of there.

She sees the corner and takes off sprinting. She's panting by the time she gets there. Looking around, she tries to find her necklace. But it is nowhere to be found.

Maybe the boy... Maybe he found it and has it... I should hide out and see if he walks past... what time is it?

She checks her watch. 7:23.

That's about when I left yesterday...

She goes over to the drug store across the street and watches casually through the window. Five minutes later she spots him. He pauses at the corner for a few seconds, as if in thought, then continues on his way.

Hmm... he has to have it... now to get it back.....

Daniel

"Today class, we will be talking about Shakespeare's work..."

Daniel tunes out his teacher as he focuses on the paper in front of him.

Hopefully she gets this note and I can meet her... and give her the necklace of course.

He blushes lightly then tucks away the note in his pocket. The rest of the day is clouded by the thoughts of the girl and what will happen racing through his mind.

Riiinnngggg

He shoots out of his seat, and races through the crowded halls, getting a few, " Damn Daniel!" And "Watch it punk!" 's as he pushes through people.

He starts a speedy walk home, stopping at the corner to place the note in a crack in the sidewalk along the wall, with a rock over to pin it down, leaving half of it visible.

Jade ~At a Seven Eleven in a neighboring town.

Nice and easy... don't act suspicious... you've done this hundreds of times...

She slips a pack of trail mix in her pocket and a few other items before heading up to the cashier with a bottle of Livewire Mt. Dew.

"Find everything you need?" The too cheery girl asks. Jade nods and pulls out $2.50 and slides it on the counter. People don't think you are stealing anything if you have money to buy something like a soda pop.

"Have a good night!"

"You too." She curtly replies and heads out of the gas station.

She heads back on the 15 minute walk back to the town, thinking on where to stay.

Should I sleep in an alley again, or find another drunk idiot to sleep with? ... No, I'll sleep in an alley. I can't risk two men in one town.

She finds an alley on a quiet street and makes a makeshift sheltering of boxes behind a dumpster. She draws the tattoo pattern on her hand with the permanent marker she stole earlier on the outer facing side of the dumpster before curling up and falling asleep.
