It was the start of a new school year and Ethan had just gotten to his new school. He was going to start his first day of high school and he was very excited. He couldn't wait to make new friends. He was accompanied by his friend Alex, who has known him since fifth grade, and a few other people from his middle school.
Like most teenage boys he was wondering what girls caught his attention. There were two girls that ended up catching his attention. One girl was named Delilah and the other girl was named Lizzy. Now both of these girls caught his attention but he couldn't decide. So Alex came up to him and said "Ethan, why don't you just go for Lizzy. She seems like a nice person and someone that would be very chill." Ethan decided to go with Alex's suggestion. He spent the next couple weeks hitting on Lizzy and trying to see if she likes him back. Two weeks later he decided to ask her out. During lunch he pulled her aside and asked, "Lizzy would you be interested in being my girlfriend?" Lizzy replied, "Of course. I've been waiting for you to ask me out."
Ethan felt like everything was going great in his relationship with Lizzy. They hung out everyday during school and after school. They went on many dates. He met her parents and she met his. Lizzy's mom liked Ethan and she wanted him to stay with Lizzy for a long time. He actually felt like he was truly in love with her. But something happened and Ethan came to a realization.
