Ethan had heard from Hunter that Delilah had broken up with him. The first thing that Ethan thought was that maybe he finally had another chance but he didn't want to make it obvious.
"Why did she break up with you?"
Hunter replied, "I have no idea. She told me that she couldn't be with me anymore. Can you please find out for me?"
Ethan went up to Delilah to ask her about what happened. Delilah explained, "He was too clingy. He didn't give me any space. I don't think he even loved me. He might have just been in love with the idea of being in love."
Ethan was happy in the inside but he didn't want to show it since it would be seen as a bad thing. Ethan kept talking with Delilah so that he could get to know her. During the summer Ethan made plans about how he was gonna ask Delilah out. In the mean time he kept talking to Delilah and tried dropping little hints that he was in love with her. Apparently she didn't get the hints because something happened when they went back into school.
