Ethan had realized that he wasn't actually in love with Lizzy. He actually had feelings for Delilah . He felt bad because he didn't want to be with someone that he didn't actually love. The next morning Ethan called Lizzy and said, "Lizzy I'm sorry but I think we need to break up." Lizzy was in tears because she thought that Ethan was madly in love with her. She replied in a shaky voice. "Why? I thought everything was going great. I thought you loved me. I wanted to be with you forever. Can you at least tell me why?" Ethan felt bad because he didn't want to tell her that he fell in love with someone else. He did the only thing he could think of at the moment. He said, "My family doesn't want me to be dating right now. They told me I need to break up with you."
Lizzy didn't talk with Ethan for a couple months. He felt really guilty and wanted to tell Lizzy but everytime he tried she would just walk away. He realized that it sucked but he couldn't help it. Delilah had a mysterious aura around her that made Ethan be attracted to her. He wanted to get to know her better. Everytime she smiled he felt all warm inside. She was always on Ethan's mind wherever he was. Alex came up to him and asked, "Why did you break up with Lizzy? She was an amazing girl." Ethan replied with an annoyed attitude, "I fell in love with Delilah. Don't get me wrong Lizzy was an amazing person but Delilah caught my attention more than Lizzy ever did. I chose the wrong girl to hit on." Alex was mad at Ethan because he secretly had a crush on Lizzy.
Ethan didn't care what Alex thought about it. He felt like Delilah was the one for me. He tried so hard to work up the courage to ask her out but he couldn't. When he had finally worked up the courage to talk to Delilah something unthinkable happened. One of his new friends came up to him. His name was Hunter and they had met during the first week of school. Ethan was confused because he didn't know what Hunter wanted. Out of nowhere Hunter asked, "Ethan do you think you can help me get with a girl?"
