"Keith!"

"Huh? Oh, hey, Pidge." Keith said as Pidge caught up with him.

"We've got a problem."

"Oh no. What did Lance do this time?" Keith sighed.

"Lance? No, one of the prisoners went berserk and kicked Shiro in the shins!" he grabbed his friend's arm and headed off in that direction.

"What? Why?"

"Something about not wanting to take off her bandana. C'mon, it's just a piece of cloth for god's sake. Well, she did say it was the only thing left of home. We were gonna give it back after we verified if she was hurt or not.

"Wait, Pidge." they stopped abruptly. "What color is this bandana?"

"I'm pretty sure it's red."

"Positive?" Keith was filled with hope that it was you.

"Yeah-" he was cut off by Keith dashing off in that direction.

"No, I won't let you take it!" you exclaimed, clapping your hand over your bandana.

"You don't need to freak out-"

You were so busy with Shiro and the bandana that you didn't notice who had walked in.

"(Y/N)?"

You stopped. You turned your head and saw a face you thought you'd never see again.

"Calm down," he said coolly.

"K-Keith?" you ran towards him and wrapped your arms around his shoulders.

He put his arms around your waist and buried his face in the crook of your neck.

"I'm never gonna let that happen again. Never, you hear me? I've got you." he murmured in your ear.

The two of you never saw the smiles on Shiro and Pidge's faces. Their friend was whole again. Lance walked into the room, looked at the situation at hand, was about to say something stupid, but Pidge stopped him.

"Don' t tease him. That's his friend. You know, the one Sendak basically said he was torturing. He needs this moment." Pidge mumbled to Lance, who frowned.

"Why'd his friend have to be a hot girl?" he whispered back.
