Oh, God... My heart is beating so fast and just breathing is hurting so much.

"Stop right there, Missy." Oh, God! A hand grabs hold of my arm, somebody please help me! I try to pull my arm away and run. But instead I am forced to face my captor.

"Oh thank God..." I murmur. It's a police officer.

Wait, "Why did you run from me? Are you hiding something?" It's Jake's dad! Jake is what they call a boyfriend. But what I call a using dick wipe.

"No, sorry. I didn't realise that you were a cop."

He sighs. How does he not recognise me? I look up at his broad shoulders and yet still force myself to look up to meet his face. Jake looks nothing like his Dad, "Why are you out this late, Young Lady?"

"I, um... I couldn't sleep." I lie, shrugging.

He narrows his eyes, "Have you heard about the things that are out here?"

I nod my head, "I don't believe in rumours." Another lie... I'm full of lies tonight, aren't I?

"Well, perhaps you should. Are you heading home?"

"Yes..."

"Good, I will walk you there."

My heart leaps out of my chest a little. No! Jake's Dad cannot know that I live in a nunnery... Or Jake for that matter, no, no, no. No, no!!

"I'll be alright on my own, Sir." I smile kindly and point over my shoulder, "I just live around the corner here."

"I want to speak to your parents, Young Miss."

Now, how do I tell him that my parents disowned me to a Nunnery when I was four? I don't, "Oh...Sorry, they're out of town."

He frowns and looks away from me, "How old are you?"

"Nineteen." Seventeen...

"And what is your name, Young Miss?"

Ah... Come on, Ashlyn, think of a name! Miss... Missy, "Issy. My name is Issy."

I stare at him. Is he going to take that..? Oh, please, don't tell that I'm lying... Please, "Your full name please." Shiiit...

"Why? Am I in some type of trouble?"

He chuckles slightly, "No! Of course not. I just need to write your name down please."

"Okay... Isabella Marie Sovereign."

He writes it down on a note pad thingy and then shines a torch in my face, "Funny, you don't look like one of the Sovereigns to me." He grunts and turns away.

There's actually a family around here with the last name 'Sovereign'? Suits me... Got me out of a ditch.

I tug my hood tighter around my face and turn around. In the side of my eye I swear I saw a tall figure standing near the trees on the other side of the road. I turn over and squint my eyes to look through the fog. I can't see anything but twigs sticking up and rose bushes... I slouch my shoulders and turn back around. Sometimes I'm sure I'm going crazy, maybe I have what that thing's called? Schizopano? No... Schizorhenic? Schizophrenia!

Yeah, that.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I lay down on my comfy single bed. Out of all the girls here, I somehow managed to end up with my own room and a comfy bed. I get almost anything I want... I don't know if my parents set this all up for me, but I get money coming through my account every fortnight, like six hundred dollars in cash, every fortnight. I can't believe that... If it were my parents, why would they even bother? If they can't keep me under their roof, then why bother trying to support me at all. It's obvious they have the money, so what is it that's stopping them from even simply seeing me?
