A/N:

Dear People that care, I'm sorry for really late updates. But I do have excuses. (They seem to work for everything somehow.) Truth is though, Guys. I'm just not really feeling it anymore, you know? The love, the passion to write or read, I'm not feeling supported and that kinda brings me down a little. But hey, I'll get over it. :)

Also, here is a link to my new story. :) No relation to the supernatural.

With lots of love, Bri. <3

I can't really say that I don't enjoy Peoples' company. Because I do. If they're females, I mean. Males seem to think I'm some type of... Disease. That's contagious... HIGHLY contagious. They keep their distance, they don't look my way and it really makes me feel unattractive. But, females? They look at me and they can get to know my boring personality. They don't care about my lack of emotions or that I tend to space out when I listen to my hateful music. They accept me for me, apart from one person who was there when I changed.

Amanda Greenwood.

She was my best friend for years. We loved each other like sisters. And just like a snap of your fingers, our "friendship" just broke in half and she became nothing but a bitch, because she didn't get what she wanted. Oh, you can guess what, or who I should say, that is. Jake. My (not so great or loyal) boyfriend.

"Hey! Earth to Ashlyn. Hellloo?"

I look up at Sam and frown, "Sorry."

She shrugs, "Lunch break's almost over, want anything to eat?"

"Nah, I'm good."

"I have eggplant lasagne." Tahlia says.

Sam and I both look at Tahlia, "Eggplant lasagne?" I ask.

Sam looks at me, "You should try it, it's actually pretty good."

"I don't know..."

"Trust me, Ash."

I sigh and look at Tahlia, "Okay. Give me this eggplant lasagne you're speaking of."

Her face slowly lifts into a bright smile, "You won't regret this."

She leans down to her back pack and comes out with a container, "Hm... You're gonna want to hope I don't, Tahlia."

"Is that a threat?"

"Yup." I reply, popping the 'p.'

"Oh, wow. This is really good!" Tahlia and Sam both smile, "How did you make this so great?" I glance at Tahlia long enough to see her shrug her shoulders.

I open my mouth to say something else, when loud giggles and snickers come across our table.

"Oh look. Isn't it, Miss Nobody, Nerd and Slut." Amanda says.

I look up at her and look into her eyes. Her nose is clearly broken and still really swollen and so is her right eye. She has a bright bruise covering her right eye and it looks like it actually hurts her to keep her eye open. Good. You deserve it.

A trashy girl with blonde hair and eyes that pop out of her head says, "Oh. Who's who? Guess it doesn't matter, because you're all nobodies!"

More giggles and snickers received.

Well... Being the person that tends to stay away from popularity or people in general does have it's con's... Bullying. Anyone out there who gets the same thing from being your own person, don't take that shit.

"Hah ha ha. Very funny." I mumble.

"Oh, sorry. What was that?" Amanda says and puts a hand to her ear, "Did someone say something?"

I shake my head. Yes, I said something, you Useless Waste of Space. But, of course me being me, I don't speak to her, instead I look way from her "cult."

"Slut!" Someone hisses.

Amanda grunt, "Yeah. That's what I thought, Nobody."

I clench my teeth and glare at her feet as she walks away. I want to yell at her. I want to grab her hair and rip her to the ground. I want to cave in all of her front teeth. I want to smash that pretty arrogant face.

"Ashlyn?" I look at a concerned Sam.

"What..?"

A small hand lands on my shoulder blade, "You okay?" Tahlia asks.

I nod, "It's not just you they insulted, Ashlyn."

"I know..." I mumble, "I'm just really sick of her shit."

Sam sighs just as the bell rings. Tahlia leaps out of her chair and shoves her stuff in her backpack.

She turns her head over her shoulder, "I'll see you guys later."

I wave at her, "Yeah, bye."

My head is freaking pounding, "C'mon, Ash, or we'll be late," I shrug and place a hand on my forehead, "What's wrong?"

"My head is hurting..."

I can hear her rustling around in her bag and she pulls out a bottle of water, "Here."

I take a drink and look up at her, "You're the best."

She smiles.
