"But why..." I didn't get why she was so insistent that I shouldn't try to find out about Jungkook.

"Don't, please, don't, maybe this might hurt but I really think that there's nothing serious going on behind Jungkook and you, just that he plainly dislikes you," I hated it when Rae Jin was frank, but at the same time thankful that she would speak her mind when she had something to tell me.

I just remained blank.

"Look, I know Taehyung is friendly and he would probably entertain all your questions, but have you ever considered the fact that Taehyung might misunderstand you for having feelings for Jungkook or something?" She persisted, but seeing no response, she continued, a little hesitant.

"I know both of them aren't the kind of people to spread rumours but... I just don't want you to get hurt, Jae Eun, trust me. Let's say Jungkook indeed has some secret that he's keeping from you. Being his best and most trusted friend, do you think Taehyung will tell you? And if like what you said, it's a family thing, then all the more Taehyung wouldn't even know about it. And lastly if Jungkook plainly hates you just because he does, then probing into this matter would perhaps increase his hatred towards you..."

It's not that I didn't believe her. Rae Jin's advice made alot of sense, but I still wasn't convinced. I mean, she wasn't me, she couldn't understand my situation. I really couldn't bear sitting beside Jungkook who didn't want to talk to me for the rest of the year. It wasn't going to be an easy life for me.

I'm sorry Rae Jin, for the second time, I'm not going to sit by and do nothing. But I won't get into trouble, I promise....
