It looks as if tonight is going to be a crisped fresh air night, cloudless too, but none of tonight's outdoor beauty matters. I'll be spending my evening indoors. Possibly my morning too.
Liann Archer has been manipulated by her older sister Logan to attend a high school party of a friend that Liann has never met before. The elder Archer sister is known for being irresponsible unlike her younger sister Liann who has never attended such an event in her entire pubescent life. This was because Liann Archer was quite an awkward being. She dressed like a boy, acted like a girl and half of the time she felt like neither. It was safe to say that Liann without a doubt stuck out like a sore thumb in her high school or just her peer group in general.
Liann might have been awkward but that's how most teenagers are and they often become quite comfortable in their own skin. This is what Liann hoped for herself, comfortability. Although this girl might have been awkward and confused it was easy to forgive her because of her pleasant face. She had hazel brown eyes, a straight roman nose, perfect white teeth and long sandy blonde hair . She was indeed a vision that smelt of licorice with a hint of floral essence.
"I can't believe you you did this to me Logan, you know how much I despise such parties full of drunk teenagers!" yelled Liann from across her room. She knew that her sister could hear her. The Archer sisters rooms were parallel to one another's and loud unpleasantries would often occur between the two girls and the hallway would be neutral ground where harsh words lingered . Today however was silent on Logan's part. It was unlike her to avoid confrontation but not when she needed a favour, or was trying to suck up.
"Logan,I know you can hear me! You're such big, fat ugh... "Liann was furious so she grabbed her outfit for the night and threw it across the room. She hated being uncomfortable, her whole life felt uncomfortable and her sister knew this. Liann thought her sister understood or maybe just cared.
"Girls please be quiet your dad is trying to write an article, you know he needs to meet the deadline. Be considerate! " the yelling echoed from downstairs where their mother sat. She was trying to assist her husband.
The girls mother Janet Archer was a housewife who did the cleaning, cooking and often helped her husband by proof reading his articles and giving him interesting ideas as to how he could make his articles more intriguing for his readers. Janet Archer loved doing this for, Michael Archer, her sweet loving husband.
Mrs Archer was determined to turn her youngest daughter into a confident social kitten. She knew that her cute kitten, Liann was awkward but because of her beauty and her easy going personality Mrs Archer was sure that people would give her a chance, if only her kitten would take it.
Liann sat on her bed. She was now fully dressed for the party. She hopped off her bed when a knock on her door had disrupted her gloomy thoughts.
She was utterly disappointed when Logan was at the the other side of the door."Hey sis, you ready to go?" Logan smirked as she asked her sister who was now mentally burying the older girl after having killed her with her lazer eyes.
"Yeah, whatever I'm ready let's get this over with. " she said and returned Logan's beaming smile with a fake one of her own.

Liann Archer had many friends not many close ones but she did have them. It was however an unpleasant fact that whenever Liann attended social events which wasn't very often she felt like she had no friends at all. She was always terrified to enter a group of people having a conversation or just interacting with one another. She was afraid of rejection.Liann sat at a table with a cup in her hand filled with contents unknown to her. It was cozy where she sat. On a stool closest to the wall where she could hide from everyone at the party.
At that moment the girl was conflicted, she was both angry and lonely. Her sister had left her the moment they arrived and went off to meet her friend or maybe some boy to pay attention to her for the night Liann wasn't sure which one it was. She was angry at her sister. Why would someone invite you to a party and not spend any time with you at all?
Liann realised that it was not her sister that she was mad at because she did make her intentions clear from the beginning. So Liann couldn't blame Logan for wanting to have some fun, which brought Liann back to feeling lonely. She observed her environment which she was an expert at considering her usual circumstances. The room which she had been sitting in was a dark one and Liann wondered why there were no lights. It was filled with rowdy teens and ear-splitting music that Liann hated to admit to herself that she liked it and she was not the only one enjoying the ear torture. The music seemed to hypnotise the adolescents into performing a dance that seemed ritualistic as bodies grinded on one another attempting to merge. This also seemed to make the girl jealous. She had lonely thoughts whirling in her head while bodies surrounding her were just existing on their world and they failed to invite Liann to their dimension.
Liann was so deep in thought that she sub-conciously took a swig of the drink in her hand. She then tried swallowing it still unaware of what she was doing and and she felt the liquid burn her throat mid-swallow. As soon as she realised what she was doing she spat it out and it sprayed with full force out of her mouth. It was not at all her intention to drink it she just wanted to fit in and so she grabbed the drink for show.
"Yo did you just spit on my girl?!" a boy with long brown hair and a snap back yelled at Liann. She hadn't realised that she had spat on anyone and this revelation was embarrassing. The victim of Liann's alcoholic spray grabbed some napkins and removed her jacket. Liann realised that the girl had a pretty frame and she was dressed stylish but casual. She pulled off a look that Liann admired, she was also worried about the look the long-haired boy was giving her and she wondered if the girl was popular. This was the kind of trouble Liann tried to avoid and always succeeded in doing so until this moment.
"I am so sorry!" Liann told the girl and placed her hand on the girl's shoulder. The girl tried using the napkins to wipe the back of her neck but the drink dripped down her back. The girl turned around, she was an inch shorter than Liann, with dark brown hair that reminded Liann of chocolate and beautiful brown eyes that made Liann uncomfortable.
Liann tried to apologise once more but the words that left her mouth sounded incoherent to her ears.
"I... Ca...so...ugh" Liann face palmed and the boy spoke.
"Bitch apologise to my girl properly! "
"Luke I am not your girl if anything I'm your ride home because you can't even drive and you act like a macho man, please. " the girl scoffed. Everyone who heard the chocolate haired beauty started laughing and Liann, well she couldn't stop smiling at the girl. She admired everything about this girl.
The boy gave both Liann and the girl death stares then he got up and left the four sided table.
The girl turned to look at Liann and when she did Liann was trapped in her eyes and all she could do was breathe.
"Hi, I am Jamie. Jamie White. Sorry about that guy, he is my brother's friend." she said as she handed Liann the leftover napkins in her hand.
"Could you wipe me please? You seem like someone who likes to right their wrongs. " she asked Liann who was now blushing like a school girl. Which she was."Yeah no problem I'd love to." and with that Liann mentally kicked herself and her head kept replaying those words like a mantra.
I'd love to.
