I Want Him To Be Mine

Chapter 11

" Hey Ariana! "Jake was standing in front of me with both of his hands in is black jeans pocket. He had a warm smile and looked great.

" Hi! It's nice to see you. " I said half lying. I was not really happy to see him because it was a tough day. I had enough trouble for that day. At the same time, it was great to see a familiar face since I knew no one except Niall and Courtney. I didn't want to be around them so I was alone. Jake has always been kind to me. Niall couldn't stand him that's why I didn't talk to Jake. Now that Niall is with Courtney, he wouldn't mind if I spend time with Jake.

" I never thought about meeting you in London. I didn't know that you moved here for college. " I never mentioned it to anyone. I had forgotten that I was moving actually.

" Yeah... I didn't know that you are attending this college. That's great because I know no one. " I told him.

" It's my second year here. I love it! " I knew that it wasn't his first year. He's older than me.

" I hope that I'm going to love it too. "

" You will. I'm sure. Are you doing something tomorrow? I could show you the campus. " Jake said.

" Oh sounds good! " It was a great idea. I didn't want to spend the next day alone.

" I have your number so I'll call you tomorrow. " After saying bye to him, I got back to my dorm. It was late but I wasn't tired because of the jet lag.

I opened the door and steped inside. I was surprised that Niall had left. Courtney was still there sitting on her bed wearing her pink pyjamas.

" Oh you are here to take your stuff back. " She shouted.

" No, I'm not moving for now. " I replied. I sat on my bed and grabbed my laptop. I put my earphone in my ear because I wasn't in the mood to talk to her.

" When are you moving? "

" I don't know for now! " I snapped at her. I heard a ring tone and a giggle for Courtney.

" Hi babe! I've missed you. " The ring tone was from Skype. Obviously, she was skyping with Niall. I was about to burst into laughter when she said that she had missed him. He had left 1 hours ago maximum. Their relationship is ridiculous. It's my opinion though. I don't think that I have the right to judge others relations but it's stronger than me.

" Is Ariana still in your room? " Niall's mention of my name got me out of my thoughts.

" Yeah! I can't wait for her to move. " She was such a big baby. If she wanted me to move, she just had to get up and go ask the lady by herself.

After 1 hour of Skype, they both texted for 2 hours. I don't think that I'm exaggerating. The sound of the vibration of her phone annoyed me so much. With that, I fell asleep.

The next day, I woke up early to get ready to meet Jake. I called him and he told me that he will come to my dorm to join me. Courtney was as annoying as the night before. I don't know if it's me who has problem with cohabitation or she is the problem.

At around 11 am, someone knocked at the door. I was cheerful that my guest was there. I opened the door and let him come inside. Jake was still wearing black jeans and a black T-shirt. I noticed that he's always in black and it suits him very well. I greeted him and introduced him to my room mate. I didn't know if they had ever met but it seemed like they hadn't. I know that Jake had heard about her.

" There's a little bistro not far from here, we could grab something to eat. " Jake offered.

" Yeah! I'm starving. " I giggled.

After a 5 minutes walk, Jake informed me that we were there. He opened the door for me and we entered the little restaurant. There were a lot of people because it was lunch time. We finally found a table for two in the back of the place.

" How was your first night as being a college student? " Jake asked me.

" Not that bad. I already miss home. " I replied. I decided not to talk about Courtney. I should just get her out of my mind.

" The campus is your home now. Oh I wanted to invite you to a party they're throwing tonight. Do you want to come? I know It's a bit late. "

I didn't want to go to a party but I needed to get to know people. I'm not a girl who likes to party. I just accepted because I didn't want to sound like the pathetic girl who would rather stay in her dorm alone and watch a movie than go to this big party.

Jake was happy that I agreed to go. He told me the directions while we were eating sandwiches. I wiped my lips with a napkin and continued listen to what he was telling me. I know now that he's studying to be a lawyer. I told him that I wanted to be a vet. I like the professions that are related to health but I didn't want to be a doctor and use a scalpel to open people. That's disgusting. I thought that being a vet was a good in between. The difference is that it's about animals health instead of humans health.

After this long discussion about our choice of career, we finished to eat our meal and went outside the bistro.

" Ariana, do you want me to show you the campus as I said yesterday? I'm free this afternoon. " Jake said.

" Of course! " I exclaimed. We decided to continue walking. He brought me to the most important places of the campus. It was a big campus but not as big as I thought.

It had been at least one hour that I was standing in front of my closet looking for a decent outfit. I didn't how to dress and I wanted people to have a good first impression of me. I finally choose a black leather circle skirt and a white lace shirt for the top. It was an appropriate outfit for a party. I applied a little line of eye liner right above my bottom lashes. I finished with a very black mascara.

The whole time I was preparing myself Courtney wasn't there. She was probably with her boyfriend. Jake had told me to be there around 8 pm but it was only 7pm. Usually, I'm always running late. I decided to watch TV as I always do when I have some times to kill.

At 8 pm I was standing on the porch of the frat house ready to get in. At lot of people were there. The house was already full and the party was just starting. I scanned the room trying to find Jake. I passed by the kitchen and a stranger handed me a red cup filled with beer. I thank him and continued my search. I was standing all by myself and I was hoping to see Jake. A guy might have noticed that I was looking for someone because he started talking to me.

" Are you looking for someone? You seem lost. " He said laughing.

" Yeah! I can't find my friend Jake in this crowded house. " I giggled.

" If we are talking about the same Jake, you should find him outside. I saw him there a few minutes ago. " I thanked him and headed outside. He was there with a few other guys. He noticed me and came to me.

" Hey Ariana! You look beautiful tonight. " Jake said.

" So do you! " His face faded as I said that. I was about to ask him what was wrong but he talked before I could.

" I didn't know that they were coming. If I had known, I wouldn't have brought you here. " I didn't know who he was talking about until I followed his gaze. He was looking at two people getting out of a luxury car. Of course it was Niall and Courtney. They are always causing drama. Why do I always have to be around them?
