I Want Him To Be Mine

Chapter 12

Niall's P.O.V.

It was just an usual morning, I was watching a program that talked about football on a sport channel. I felt lazy that day and I had planned to do nothing. I heard the ring tone of my phone that was on the kitchen counter. I stretched and stood up to reach it. I read Babe on the screen. I slid my finger to the right to unlock my phone. I approached the phone to my ear.

" Good morning Babe. " I whispered in the phone with my morning voice that Courtney loves. I knew she was smiling even if I wasn't with her.

" Good morning love. " She said with her little voice. She started to explain me that there was a big party at the campus. I asked her why was she telling me that. She wanted me to go with her. I don't really do Uni party. It's just not my thing. I accepted because I didn't want her to go by herself. We never know how college guys think and I didn't want them to hurt her. It was her first College experience and I wanted to be there with her.

I told her that I would go to her dorm. I really hate that dorm because I have to see Ariana. It's not seeing her the problem. I still want to see her. I just can't imagine the pain she feels because of me. I choose Courtney over her and I made her feel like I would choose her. It's just too complicated. I had to stay with Courtney. I hoped she wouldn't be there at Courtney's.

After I hung up, I went in the shower. The cold water on my bare skin helped me to get out of my sleepy state. I had been on break for a long time now and I wasn't looking forward to get back to work anytime soon. The boys and I had decided to take a little break for a few months to just spend time home. We toured a lot the past two years, so that break was deserved. I just like to take a shower because you can think about anything, all you do is thinking. I turned off the shower and stepped outside. The cold air forced me to hurry to wrap myself in a towel. I looked at my reflection in the mirror thinking that I needed a haircut. When I don't wear fixative in my hair, it looks all messy.

I went into the bedroom and opened the closet. I opted for a blue jeans with a white plain shirt. It was a great outfit for a party of dumb teenagers. It was already 12 pm when I finished to prepare myself. When the clock turned to 5 pm, I grabbed my keys and walked outside my flat. I took the precaution to lock the door. I waited for the elevator. No one was in it. I pressed on the lowest level button. That's where my car is parked.

I knocked on the door. I didn't want Ariana to open the door because it would be awkward but deep inside I wished that it would be her there with a bright smile. The sound of the door opening took me out of my thoughts. I had been thinking a lot these days. The girl behind the door frame was actually Courtney but instead of greeting me with a bright smile she greeted me with a fake smile. I wasn't even in the room yet that she was yelling at me for being late. We never agreed for an hour. I rolled my eyes at her. She hates when I do that.

" You aren't wearing this tonight. " I commended. She was wearing a way too short dress. It looked like she was going to a nightclub. It was only a frat house party.

" Why should I listen to you? You are my boyfriend, I thought that you'd be pleased to see me in that short dress. " She said acting innocent. I wasn't pleased that my girlfriend looked like those chicks who are almost naked.

" Because it's inappropriate and there are some pervs at parties. " I said with an annoying tone in my voice.

" Great I'm changing. " She complained. She went in the bathroom. I took that time to analyze the room. Ari wasn't there. Her makeup was on her bed spilled everywhere. She must had left quickly. I was wondering where she was.

" Where's your room mate? " I shouted at Courtney who was in the bathroom. I didn't mention the name of her room mate because she would have been jealous.

" I don't know. Se left with a boy earlier. I think it was Jake or something like that. Why do you wanna know? " Courtney said.

" Okay! I was just wondering. " I replied. What was she doing with Jake. I started to panic. He doesn't have good intentions. I told Courtney to hurry because I wanted to go to that party to see if Ariana was there with Jake. He probably the kind of guy who likes to party all the time. Courtney never answered, too concentrated on her makeup and hair.

" I'm ready! " Courtney finally shouted. It had been an hour that I was waiting.

" It was about time " I said half laughing. " But what time is it? " I continued.

" It's 6 o'clock " Courtney added. I didn't know at what time was the party but it wasn't at 6 pm for sure.

" Okay. Should we eat before going there? " I asked her. She looked excited because of the party.

" Yeah we should. I'm quite hungry. " She replied. We headed to my car and went to a restaurant.

" It's gonna be awesome! " Courtney shouted in my car. We were now going to the party. I wasn't as excited as her but I wanted to have fun.

" Don't drink too much. I don't want you to puke in my brand new car! " I said laughing at her. She was disgusted by my comment.

" Oh c'mon. It's not like I never drank before. I won't be sick. "

I saw the frat house through the windshield. The house was already crowded and the music was so loud. I parked my car in the street and got out of it. I walked to the other side of the vehicle to open Courtney's door.

" Thank you " She said smiling at me. I smiled back. I grabbed her hand and turned around to see Ariana talking with Jake. My heart stopped beating. She was looking right into my eyes and I could see that she was boiling inside. Jake saw us too. Ariana went back inside and Jake ran after her. I dropped Courntey's hand and went in the house.

It was even more crowded than outside. It was impossible to find them. I wanted to talk to Ariana. She had probably left. I sat on the couch and Courntey sat by my side with two cups in her hands.

" Why did you leave me outside?" She asked giving me a cup. I took a sip. It was beer. I didn't reply and continued to drink.

After a few beers, I started to feel a little dizzy. I was dancing with Courntey and everyone seemed to have fun.

" We are having a beer pong game. Who's in? " Someone shouted trough the room. It was a classic game and I wanted to play.

" We wanna play. " I shouted back. I went on one side of the table and Courtney followed me.

" We are playing too! " What? It was Ariana. She wanted to play against me. She was probably drunk. I had no choices so I accepted. I took the ping pong ball and shot it. I missed the cups by a few inches. It was Ariana's turn. She shot the little ball and it fell right into our cup. I thought she was drunk but maybe she wasn't.

Since she was the one who shot into a cup first, her team was starting.

Drink, drink and drink.

We had a cup left. I had drank three cups. Courtney drank two. The other team had two cup left we were loosing. I took the ball and shot it. I was drunk so it was difficult. I missed it. It was now Jake's turn. I was very competitive and didn't want them to win. Jake was very concentrated. The ball went into our only cup left. They were screaming. I was mad that we had lost.

The most unexpected thing happened. As I was looking at them, Ariana jumped in Jake's arms and kissed him. It was unbearable. I hit the table and walked away.
