*Big time skip cause I can*
Many months, then years went by. Our friendship with Abby, Mark and Sean has grew stronger and stronger. We decided to move in together at the end of our education. Which was only a few weeks away. I was so nervous about it. I mean moving in with my best friends is awesome but... Jack wasn't just a friend for me. He was a lot more. I told Abby about this and she literally fangirled. She said she ships us. I haven't told Mark yet but I'll have to someday.
I sighed and shook my head. I held my mug close to me as I was sitting on the couch at Mark's house, watching TV. He invited us over to dissolve some stress before graduation. Mark was upstairs recording videos for his new Youtube channel. I'm so glad he started doing Youtube, he's so good in front of the camera. He started it a few months ago and the number of subscribers was growing fast. Abby was sitting on my right, watching Tv as well. Jack was on my left and he was scrolling through his phone. Abby looked at me when she heard my sigh.
"What's wrong Holley?" She asked, taking a sip of her coffee."I don't really know. Nothing. Everything. I'm nervous about the future. About what will happen after school. About the graduation. About the moving in together." I put my mug on the table in front of us, and I sat back cross-legged. Jack put his phone away and looked at us, now listening.
"Aw Holley. Don't worry about the graduation. You have such good grades. You'll be fine. And about the moving. We'll find a house big enough for the four of us and our pets. Look, I'm already searching through available houses nearby." She said and rubbed my upper arm and smiled kindly. I smiled back then looked down. I still wasn't sure. Jack put his hand on my thigh and I looked at him.
"Don't worry about the future or the past, Holls. Live in the present and enjoy the things what're happening now. We'll figure out everything in time. Everything will be fine, trust me." He said with a warm smile spreading through his face. I gave him a shy smile and looked in his beautiful ocean blue eyes a little too much time. When I realized this I blushed deeply and looked away."Thanks guys. I think I feel a little better." I smiled at both of them. Abby pulled me into a hug, then Jack joined in.
"Group huuug!!" I heard Mark as he threw himself on us, which caused the couch falling back.
"What the fuck Mark?!" I yelled at him but laughed out loud. Mark was basically laying on me and on Abby's and Jack's arms. He giggled then got off of me and helped Abby up first. Sean was still laughing when he helped me up. He put too much strength in the pull so I got pulled onto his chest. He looked down at me with slightly red face and an embarrassed smile. He was just inches away. I blushed hard, cleared my throat awkwardly and stepped away.
"Uh sorry I shouldn't give that much strength in that pull." He said chuckling and scratched the back of his neck.
"Nah, it's okay I guess." I said and rubbed my upper arm. Mark and Abby exchanged looks. Abby looked at me and winked, Mark was confused.
"Umm Holls? Can I talk with you for a moment, please?" Mark asked. I gulped and nodded. He walked in the hallway and held out my jacket. "Let's go for a walk." He said and I grabbed my jacket and pulled it on. He closed the door behind me and we started walking. We were in silence for about 5 minutes, then we reached a small park. There were flowers everywhere and a pretty path what leaded to a pond. I was amazed. I've never been there before. It was magical. I looked around with a bright smile and slightly dropped jaw and I saw Mark smiling, in the corner of my eye. We sat down next to the lake and just sat there for a few minutes. Then he turned to me.
"Okay Holley. I feel like I'm missing something, that everyone knows about. You know what I'm talking about. Can you tell me?" He glaced my face and waited patiently for my answer. I looked down and took a deep breath.
"Just Abby knows about it. And I wanted to tell you but I just didn't know how. So, I think it's time for you to know. I mean it's not a very big deal just embarrasing for me." I scratched the back of my neck and turned to face him. He nodded and waited. "So uh.. I-I.. I kind of...um.. Like Jack. Like that way. No this is a weak word... Uhm... I think I love him.." I looked down and I started messing with the grass.
"W-why didn't you tell me before? You didn't trust me, did you?" His voice was low and smooth. I turned to him. He looked sad and disappointed.
"N-no that's not the deal. I trust you more than anyone. I... I just didn't know how to tell." I cupped his face with my hands and forced him to look into my eyes. "I trust you. You are my best friend. You are my second brother. I just didn't want you to feel bad. I know how you felt or still feel. And I didn't want to hurt you. That's why." I whispered to him. He nodded. He understood.
"I'll take it to my personal mission to bring you two together." He said with a smile and stood up. I giggled as he helped me up.
"You really don't need to." I said as I shook my head. "Now let's go back home." I suggested with a smile. He nodded and we started walking back to his house. The walk was silent but not awkward. Rather comfortable. He was thinking all the way so do I. We walked in the door and I heard laughing from the living room. I nodded in the direction to Mark and we went there silently. I giggled at the sight. Abby and Sean were watching an Adam Sandler film and they were laughing their asses off. I sneaked behind them.
"HEEEEY GUYSSS." I shouted in their ears which made them jump in two directions. Abby to the left, Sean to the right. Now everyone was laying on the ground laughing. We went to the kitchen to eat something. Soon everyone calmed down and I had the chance to speak up. "Okay everyone we should watch a movie together." I said and looked at them.
"Alright. Horror?" Mark suggested smirking. Oh no. I knew what he was thinking about.
"Oookaaaay. Bring it on I guess." I said nervously and we stood up to walk back to his living room.
"I'm gon' sit in the middle!" Abby shouted and ran forward.
"Oh hell nah." Mark yelled and ran after her. I giggled and looked at Jack. He was looking at me with a smile. Oh god he was so handsome. I blushed and looked into his eyes. "W-We should go after them before they kill each other." He nodded with a chuckle. We stared into each other's eyes for a while. But then I turned away and we moved to the living room. The other two was arguing about who'll sit in the middle. I just plopped down on the left side and waited for them to stop. Jack sat down next to me and did the same. Soon Mark had enough and took place next to Jack. Abby made a noise and sat down on the other side of the couch. I sighed and stood up to put in something. I felt someone's look burning a hole in my back but I tried to ignore it. I put in Conjuring and I grabbed a huge blanket and put it over everyone then sat back to my place. I felt like a mom who was taking care of her children. I chuckled at my thought and we finally started the movie.
~~~
About 45 minutes later we looked like this: Mark's face in the blanket, Abby's face just half covered, Jack's left hand on the top of the couch, the other held the blanket near his eye and I was peeking between my fingers. I looked at Jack and he looked at me as well.
"How ya doin' Holley?" He asked amused. I nudged his ribs lightly then I put my hands back to their position. He chuckled then he put his left arm around me. I looked at him blushing. "Y-you looked scared. Umm... are you uncomfortable like this? Or too much?" He whispered with an embarrassed voice. I shook my head and cuddled into his side. My head was bright red when I felt his hand gently rubbing my side. Well I wasn't afraid anymore. I could see the corner of my eyes that Abby shoved Mark a little bit, then they looked at us. They exchanged looks then continued watching the film with smirks on their faces. I blushed even harder.
