Chase's POV
"From now on, Oliver you're bunked with Skylar, and Kaz you're now with Chase." Mr. Davenport tells us before he changes the subject. No, no, no! I scream at Mr. Davenport inside my head. I just met Kaz and I already have a crush on him. What the heck is wrong with me? I think to myself. I must have zoned out because I was snapped back to reality when Mr. Davenport left and Bree was waving her hand in front of my face.
"Hello, earth to Chase." She says while still waving her hand at me.
"What?" I ask when I was snapped back to reality.
"Nothing, you just completely zoned out when Mr. Davenport was here." She says.
"Sorry, what did he say?" I ask.
"Douglas is coming here to help us." She tells me.
"So he's leaving the academy?" I ask.
"Yeah." She tells me.
"Isn't Adam going to miss 'evil uncle daddy' as he called him?" I ask.
"Oh yeah Adam's going to miss him." She tells me.
"Wait," Kaz interrupts "'evil uncle daddy'?" God I love his voice. is all I can think when he starts to talk.
"Well technically Douglas is our father." Bree tells him since I was to zoned out, thinking about Kaz.
"What?" Oliver asks.
"It's a long story." I say after Bree hits me and I snap back to reality.
*10 minutes later*
"That's the whole story." I say, feeling a little embarrassed because I told them about Marcus.
"Your family is complicated." Kaz says.
"That's why I was born from a pod of nutrient solution." Skylar said.
"What?" Bree and I say at the same time.
"I'm an alien born on the planet Caldera." She explains.
"Oh, okay." I say. We spend the rest of the day talking and explaining our lives.
*that night*
"Why is there a tube in here?" Kaz asks me when we walk into our new room.
"This is my capsule, I need it to keep my bionics in control." I explain to him.
"So you sleep standing up?" I ask.
"Yeah, I've only slept laying down once." I say, turning red from remembering that one time.
"Really when was that?" Kaz asks, seeing my embarrassment.
"When I was with Marcus." I say, knowing my face is completely red.
"Oh yeah, you guys were like best friends." He said, with me feeling even more embarrassed.
"Actually we were boyfriends." I mumble.
"Really?" He asks.
"Yeah, don't tell anyone." I say.
"Don't worry I won't." He says before he takes his shirt off and I start to stare.
"I'm going to bed, it's been a long day." He tells me before he grabs a new shirt and a pair of pants. I get in my capsule and it changes my clothes for me, Kaz lays down in the bed in our room after he's done changing.
"Goodnight Chase." He says before he falls asleep.
"Goodnight Kaz." I whisper.
Kaz's POV
I wake up to get a glass of water and I see Chase in his capsule, but there are tears running down his face.
"Chase." I say when I lightly tap on his capsule.
"Chase, wake up." I say, tapping a little harder. He wakes up and wipes his tears.
"What is it Kaz?" He asks when he gets out of his capsule.
"You were crying, what's wrong?" I ask.
"Nothing just a bad dream." He tells me.
"Chase, you were crying pretty hard, what was the dream about?" I ask as I sit down on my bed and he starts crying again.
"Come sit down." I say to him and he walks over and sits down next to me.
"What was it about?" I ask.
"M-Marcus." He chokes out.
"What happened?" I ask as I pull him into my arms.
"I-I j-just k-keep thinking about w-what they d-did t-to him." He stuttered out.
"Who?" I ask.
"M-my f-family." He tells me.
"What did they do?" I ask pulling out of the hug and looking him in the eyes.
"They m-melted h-him." He says as I remember that Marcus was an android.
"In front of you?" I ask, and he nods.
"Oh I'm so sorry." I say to him. Just as I'm about to hug him again he pushes his lips onto mine, I kiss him back.
"Wait what are you doing?" I ask after I break the kiss.
"I'm so sorry." He says before he starts crying harder than before.
"I'm so sorry, I can't believe I was such an idiot, I know your with Oliver and I'm so sorry, it just-" I cut him off with another kiss.
"It's okay." I tell him once I break the kiss.
"I won't tell." I say to him.
"I won't either." He tells me, before he gets off my bed and gets in his capsule.
