Kimberley's point of view

Cheryl was really struggling with her morning sickness – as the name should suggest, it doesn't just happen in the morning. I had the Doctor and Midwife over to the house to check everything was okay and thankfully, all was well with Mammy and Baby.

"Baby?" Cheryl asked one night as we sat cuddled on the sofa as she wrote in her diary; I was glad to see her using it and she had written in it every day, some days more than once.
I looked away from the Rom-Com film we had put on and smiled at her for her to continue.
"I regret committing to some of these things for work."
"Why?"
"Baby," she simply stated and looked back to her diary. I wasn't sure what to say, but I was sure that once Lily knew about Cheryl's pregnancy, she could easily change things and make sure she wasn't working too hard or too close to her due date.
A short silence passed between us as she continued writing and I watched the film, allowing Cheryl some privacy to write.
"Am I getting fat?" She suddenly asked.
I frowned. "No Babe, you're not getting fat at all."
"But look at me belly," she sighed as she pushed the blanket down over her now quite prominent bump.
"That's not fat, that's Baby," I smiled as I tenderly placed a hand on her very warm stomach. "Your own personal hot water bottle," I smiled whilst stroking her bump through her tight top.
"I haven't had a belly this big before... it scares us."
"It's not fat, Cheryl. It's our baby growing."
"Aye but it might be fat. I have started eating more and craving the weirdest shit. The other day I had an overwhelming urge to nibble the soap!"
I chuckled. "I had weird urges too, remember when you came home and found me smelling all the washing powders in the laundry?"
She chuckled and nodded. "Aye, I do remember that."
"Did you actually eat it?"
"No, I went to the freezer and ate a few ice cubes."
I smiled as I pushed her top up and over her bump. "So gorgeous," I leant down and started to place soft kisses on her bump.
I soon heard her gasp as my hand brushed the inside of her thigh. "Kimba," she spoke in a warning tone.
"I looked up at her and smirked. Her boobs had grown due to her pregnancy and in the tight top she was currently in, they looked delectable. I shuffled closer and started to kiss her exposed cleavage.
Her hand fell into my hair as she softly pushed her chest further into my mouth and threw her head back as small moans left her mouth.
"Bedroom?" I asked as I eventually moved my mouth from her chest to look at her flushed face. She nodded and I carried her to our bedroom.

***

A few days had passed since Cheryl's uncertainty about her body and that night I made sure she knew I still felt the same, if not stronger about her now she was carrying our baby. We had not long got home from the hospital, Cheryl had been for her first scan today and all was fine, the dates matched up and we had a due date for Baby Tweedy-Walsh number two. A lot of tears had been shed in that that small room as the sonographer introduced us to our little bean on the screen. Cheryl couldn't stop crying happy tears and on the way home, all she could do was stare at the scan picture that was in one hand, whilst the other stroked her growing bump.

"You know we can tell people as of now?" I smiled as I took Cheryl's three month bump photo.
"People like who?" she looked up from her bump with nothing but fear in her eyes. "Not the public. Not yet Kimba."
I shook my head as I stepped closer to her and held her tightly in my arms. "No. I mean our families and close friends. I know you said to me the other day Anna asked you about clothing and you weren't sure. At least once we tell them, they can fuss you, make sure you're safe, get excited about a new family member and in regards to work, help you dress your changing figure. You'll have the best dressed bump in the industry."
She smiled and softly kissed my neck. "Come on now, we need to get this picture so I can stick it in me book next to the scan!"
I chuckled and stood back and watched as she lovingly stroked her bump and I took a few photos.
