seokjin

i wasn't expecting a man with cursed hair to be sitting on the bench outside of my shop when i went to open it. he didn't seem to notice me. even when i walked past him and opened up the shop. i guessed he was either listening to really loud music and concentrating really hard on his phone or he was waiting for a different shop to open or for someone to pick him up.

even if he wasn't waiting for me to open my shop i decided to help him anyway. no one wants cursed hair. it goes all brittle and smelly then falls out. all of your hair no matter where it is on your body.

i walked over to him before placing a hand on his shoulder. he jumped and ripped out his earphones before looking at me. he opened his mouth to say something but i interrupted him.
"hi, i'm kim seokjin. i was wondering if you knew that your hair was cursed." i held out my hand for him to shake, he didn't and just kept opening and closing his mouth like some sort of fish.
"i'll take that as a no. well, i can help you. would you like to come in?" i gestured towards my shop and finally got a response from the stranger, a nod.

i turned and walked up and into the shop, turning around once along the way to make sure the man was following me. i led him into the back where i kept my remedies. i had a lot of pre-made remedies for some simple spells, charms and curses. luckily, i had made a new batch of an all purpose curse cure but there was a small side affect when it was applied on hair, one of my previous clients had found out about this.

"sit here," i told him, leading him to a chair and then getting the remedy. "I have to warn you though, to get the curse out of your hair they're going to be a side effect."
"what?" he looked up at me with wide eyes. this was the first time he's talked to me. his voice was nice.
"the side effect is that your hair is going to turn this kind of grey-blond. it happens to everyone who gets this remedy applied, not matter how much i try to tweak the recipe. so you could either wait a week or two for me to make a proper cure removing remedy just for hair but already your hair would start to go brittle and fall out. so?"
"i'll just go with this one. i've been meaning to change my hair colour actually." i didn't know if he was lying or not but i guess this meant he was completely okay with it.

"the process is going to be almost exactly like the one you would do to dye hair. have you ever dyed your hair before?" he shook his head. "well then, basically i'm just going to lather it all over your hair since that is where i'm guessing you used the cursed brush," he nodded. "then we'll leave it for two hours before washing it out and voila. your hair will be curse free." he nodded again. i don't know why he was being so quiet.

i put on some disposable plastic gloves and grabbed the pot that contained the remedy, then walked back over to man.
"ready?" i asked and he nodded in reply. i opened the pot and scooped some of the remedy out with my hands before massaging it into the man's hair and scalp.

"what's your name by the way?" i asked while i was applying the remedy.
"kim namjoon." he mumbled in reply. he seemed to be even more quiet than before. strange.
"well, nice to meet you kim namjoon. what were you doing sitting on that bench alone?"
"uh... i was actually waiting for you." his cheeks seemed to flush but it was probably just the lighting.
"oh. why were you waiting for me?"
"well..." namjoon paused and before he could finish his sentence the door burst open.
