Hello!

Hi.

Do you like cats?

No.

Good!
Now,here are some basic cat facts to get you started!

• male cats are called toms

•female cats are called she-cats

•pregnant she-cats are called queens or dams

•cats often form groups called colonies (members vary depending on location)

Now, a cat.

The domestic cat (Latin: Felis catus) is a small, furry, carnivorous mammal. They are often called house cats when kept indoors or just cats. Cats have a strong, flexible body, quick reflexes, sharp retractable claws, and teeth adapted to killed vermin (small prey like mice and birds). Cats have a high breeding rate. People who breed pedigrees have a hobby called 'cat fancy'. Outdoor cats are active day and night, though slightly more active at night.

Although some cats are solitary, the social behavior of domestic cats is varied in different locations. Widely dispersed feral cat colonies form around a food source, based on groups of co-operating females. Inside such groups, one cat is dominant over the others. Each cat in a colony holds a distinct territory, with active males having the largest territory, which is about 10 times larger than those of females and may also overlap with females'. These territories are marked with urine spraying, by rubbing objects with their head and secrete from their facial glands, or by.. Um... Pooping. Between these territories are 'mutual grounds', which cats greet one another without conflicts. Outside these neutral grounds, cats in their own territory chase out trespassers, by staring, hissing, and growling. If that doesn't work, they hold short and loud and violent attacks.

DESPITE SOME CATS LIVING IN COLONIES, THEY DO NOT HAVE A SOCIAL SURVIVAL STRATEGY, OR A PACK MENTALITY, AND ALWAYS HUNT ALONE!!!
