Chapter 15
Miranda
"Good because I want to do something tonight." His words rang in my head as I headed to my room to get ready for bed and wait for him to get there. Why would he say something like that it's not like we are going to do anything that we don't usually do.
I got dressed for bed because I knew that whatever we were going to do it was going to be in this room, though that didn't make sense.
I stared out my window at the sky.
He's leaving in the morning to go with his family. That means I will be back to my original living arrangements and chores. It will be no more having Zaire follow me everywhere and no sleepovers with Drake.
It would be back to feeling like a slave, a servant- someone whose life only ever revolved around making others lives perfect without them having work and them never having to be stressed over the little things. It was a feeling I had grown accustomed to over my life but these last months it was something that I had forgotten because I wasn't taking care of people that didn't care, well except maybe Soren.
"Hi, Drake." I spoke when he walked into the room, though I knew it was him, but when he didn't answer me right away like he usually does I started to panic and think that something might be wrong. "What's wrong?" I turned to look at him as he started to walk towards me.
He took hold of my hand and gently pulled me up to be standing up facing towards him. "Get dressed, I want to take you somewhere."
"Where?" I get to leave here! I was so excited that we might be going somewhere where it would just be the two of us and no one would find us.
"Just get dressed." He kissed me before turning and playfully pushing me towards my wardrobe.
"Where are we going Drake?" I asked as I stayed close following behind him. I was excited, it felt like we were going on an adventure to get to know each, but nerves also had a hold of me with the fact that we could get caught.
"Shh....sweetie you need to be quiet my brothers promised and set it up so that nobody will find us when we get there, but they couldn't make it so that no one is in the hallways leading up to it." I stayed quiet after that knowing it was only way to stay safe.
I barely heard the voices before I was pushed tightly against the wall. I was afraid we would get caught and it scared me. I shook and gripped his shirt pushing my face into his back trying to a feeling of safety being close to him. Once it was quiet again, we continued on.
"Ok, baby close your eyes." When he told me this I looked up at his face and saw the smile. That smile made all my fear disappear and left only the excitement and butterflies dancing in my stomach. I lightly closed my eyes.
I felt him turn me and a light breeze blew against my legs and I knew we were outside. "Drake, why are we outside?" I wondered if this was my surprise just a chance to be with him outside that room.
"It's a surprise." I giggled as his arms went around me and he gave me a sweet kiss that I wanted to last forever then he pulled away. "Ok, open your eyes."
