Miku x Naruto

NARUTO'S POV

I've always hated the hospital. But right now I've already spent two entire weeks here without taking a single step out of it.

Why?

Why did this have to happen?

Why her?

"Please wake up soon, Miku" I said while holding her cold hand.
Her beautiful turquoise hair seemed to have lost color, as well as her skin. All I wanted was to see her electric blue eyes again. My gaze wondered downwards to the hole in her chest. It was caused by a chidori that pierced through it, 'dangerously close to her heart and spine' according to Tsunade baa-chan.

Flashback

3rd PERSON POV

The rain became more intense with every second as a bit of turquoise could be seen moving from tree to tree, until reaching its destination: the famous Valley of the End.

The girl felt her blood go cold almost instantly. Her eyes glued to the person clad in orange lying on the ground. As she sprinted towards them, something that looked like a phantom, a dark version of herself, exited her body causing her to stumble and land on her knees. Her head shot up as she understood what had just happened.

"N-No! Wait!" She yelled after the silluette. Her gaze shooting between it and the blonde boy in the orange jumpsuit in front of her.

She slowly stood up and walked closer to the unconcious boy. "Na-Naru-to" she stuttered while panting. She sat down next to him. Tears brimming on the edge of her eyes. 'It's weird' she thought. 'I know he'll be alright but...it..still...'

"IT HURTS SO MUCH!" She screamed starting to sob uncontrolably. "I can't handle seeing you like this, Naruto!" She gently lifted his torso a bit and started passing her hand through his sunshine-yellow hair while tears flowed down her cheeks.

Suddenly, she felt an inmense pain in her chest, as well as an agonizingly burning surge of electricity in her entire body, and let out a blood curling scream.

She collabsed next to the blonde, breathing heavily. The last thing she saw before losing conciousness was a glimpse of navy blue and grey.

NARUTO'S POV

My eyes cracked open slightly. After getting used to the brightness, I started taking in my surroundings, as well as the bandages all over me,'...hospital...great.'

I slowly sat up, my body aching, when the door opened and Tsunade baa-chan walked in followed by Kakashi-sensei.

"How are the others?" I rapidly asked.

"They're out of danger, don't worry." Tsunade baa-chan said with a weak smile on her face.
I let out a sigh of relieve.

"But" Kakashi-sensei spoke up in a serious tone and looking to the ground "there's someone else you should be worried about."

End of flashback

I traced circles into the back of her small hand when I saw a faint, red gleam errupting from her injury. It looked like...chakra?...

MIKU'S POV

It took me a while to understand how she felt for all this time. And I felt guilty for not noticing how horrible she must have felt. She was my counterpart after all. My blue eyes started to get teary as I look straight into hers. I smiled softly at her.

"I'm so sorry Zatsune. I promise you that from now on, I'll always be there for you."

Her pretty red eyes widened, her mouth slightly agape, as I threw myself forward and hugged her, putting my entire heart into the embrace.
She slowly responded by wrapping her arms around me, and started to sob softly.

"Thank you." I smiled at her as we seperated, while she was whiping away her tears.

"Now!" She clapped her hands with a smile on her face, "Let's get that wound closed, shall we?"

NARUTO'S POV

I looked at the closing wound in awe. 'How is this even posible?'  I thought. 'It's not like a persons chakra works the same way a tailed beasts' chakra...right?' I didn't even know what to think anymore.

The wound continued to close at a quick pace, as well as Mikus face began to regain color.

She still doesn't wake up though... I thought. It was at that moment when her right index finger twitched, indicating that she started become concious.

I lightly squeezed her, now warmer, hand as her eyelids cracked open.

I couldn't help but notice how her eyes flashed red for a second, but hesitatly brushed it off.

She glanced around the room before meeting my gaze. Blue clashing with blue.

"Naruto..." it came out only slightly above a whisper. I smiled brightly at her.

Tears started to gather in her eyes. "I'm so sorry" she let out a small sob.

I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "About what?"
"I couldn't -sob- prevent Sasuke from leaving. All I did was to sit there crying and -sob- let Zatsune go after him on her own. -sob- I didn't even try to stop her -sob-. Sasuke used the Chidori on her which didn't work because she wasn't in her fisical form, so I was affected by it and-" She stopped her rant abruptly when I hugged her as close to as possible. I actually didn't know what I was doing, all I knew was that I wanted her to stop crying. Seeing her like that pained me...for some reason.

"Kakashi told me that you stayed with me while I was unconsious." I said. "That alone means a lot to me, as well as the fact that you followed us. But-" I trailed off.

"Why though?" I asked.

. Silence...

.

.

"Because you mean a lot to me"
