"You're annoyingly troublesome"
Those words burned and echoed in Gumi's head. It also didn't seem like they would leave any time soon.
Tears were streaming down her cheeks like waterfalls. Torn, tear-stained and balled up paper all around her. Not even songwriting could distract her from the pain that attacked her heart.
"Can't you leave me alone for once? This is such a drag"
She wanted it to stop. Everything. The images. The sounds. The smells. The pain.
"Stop acting so childish."
No matter how hard she tried, the memories came back to haunt her. Every time.
This time, her thoughts traveled to the day it all began. The day she met him.

.'What a drag' Was the first thing the Nara thought of when he saw a certain someone leaning against his favorite tree.
There sat a green-haired girl with a guitar and a notebook. Playing a few acords then scribbling something down on the paper.
He frowned. After wasting his energy to climb the (small) hill, he didn't feel like searching for another tree. That would be to troublesome. He sighed deeply, shoved his hands in his pokets and walked closer to the girl.
"Oi, you're in my spot." He said annoyed. The girl jumped a bit, looked up at him and smiled. "Hi, I'm Gumi."
Shikamaru raised an eyebrow. "I didn't ask for your name, I asked you to move from my spot."
"What's the word you're missing?" She sing-songed with a grin on her face.
"...Please?"
"See, that wasn't so hard now was it...uhh. What was your name?" The green haired girl questioned, tilting her head lightly.
"Nara Shikamaru." He replied boredly.
Gumi stood up while grabbing her guitar and notebook. She walked to the other side of the tree and sat down. "...What are you doing?" The boy raised an eyebrow.
"You asked me to move from the spot, not the tree itself. And I thought Naras were supposed to be smart." She mumbled the last part but he heard it clearly.
He grumbled. "At least don't be loud.""Alright." She responed happily.
He sat down, leaning against the tree while watching the clouds in the distance. He sighed contently as a soft guitar melody started to play. It was really relaxing to be honest. That's when Gumi began to sing. (Crescent Moon-Kaito)
It's safe to say that after the chorus, he fell asleep.Shikamaru's POV
'Green' was the first thing that came into my mind when I opened my eyes. 'A nice shade of green...'
"Finally you woke up! For a minute I thought you were dead." I heard a happy voice say. When my eyes adjusted to the light of the sunset I got the clear image of Gumi grinning at me. For a second I took in the sight in front of me. The orange of the sunset clashing with the light-green of her hair.
"Oh, are you ok?" She questioned. I quickly shook my head, coming out of my thoughts. "Why do you care?" I asked annoyed with the fact that she was right in my face.I expected her to have a negative reaction, but...instead...she laughed.
"Hahaha, there's no reason to be so grumpy, it was just a simple question." She gave what seemed like the brightest smile I'll ever witness.
"Anyways," She stood straight abd put her hands on her hips. "I hope you won't mind me coming here more often. Ah! You know what? We'll be friends now!" She proclaimed pointing her finger at me while grinnig. "But I never agreed to-" I tried to argue but was cut off.
"No buts. You don't seem THAT bad and also, it's nice to have someone to hang-out with.""So? What do you say?" Gumi held her hand out to me, that smile never leaving her face.
I shook her hand and said: "I guess I don't have anything to lose, so...sure, why not?" I shrugged.
She let out a tiny squeal. "My first friend! I can't wait 'till I tell Onii-chan about this!"
"Well, I'll be back tomorrow afternoon. See you then Shikamaru-kun!" She grabbed her things and walked down the hill.
I chuckled softly. "What a troublesome girl."GUMI'S POV
'I was so happy that day.' I thought sadly to myself.
Suddenly, there was a knock on my door. I turned my head towards it.
"Come in." I said softly.
It opened and there stood two boys, one with silver hair and mint-green eyes and the other with red hair and same-colored eyes.
I quickly wiped my tear-stained cheeks, my eyes red and puffy from crying.
"Piko, Fukase...you shouldn't see me like this." I adressed my teammates.
"Gumi," Piko said and I looked at him. "You have to leave your room for once! You can't just lock yourself up and expect us not to care!" I lowered my head in shame. "I'm sorry." Tears rolled down my cheek again.
Fukase frowened, he walked up to me while dragging Piko by his sleeve, and hugged me. Piko followed his actions.
"You can always rely on us." My red eyed friend said.
"I know, thank you guys.""But...let me be weak...just this once."
Part two will be up as soon as I can, which will probably be next year...Oh well! ^_^ I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I'm still working on another one-shot which will be published in a few weaks I assume. Anyways, thank you for reading and stay tuned.
