Chapter 24:Lanas pov

2 years.2 flacking years since shes been dead.

I now work as a cashier at a british cafe.But my mom says I have every characteristic of what a model has but I dont know im too insecure.But my mom didnt listen to me and sent pictures of me posing to a modeling industry.I get my results tomorrow.I try not to think of what happened on that day.I put on a fake smile everyday for my mothers sake.I only put on a real smile around my only friend around here is Edward.But I always call him pooky bear just to annoy him.>:D.I miss kimberly and shay and Darren and everybody.I told Edward everything even about...kaley.He always makes me laugh so I can get my mind off what happened that day.I have a shift today so I start getting ready for my shitty day.

I put some black leggings and my white vans with simple white vneck.I put my hair in a messy bun and walked to the cafe.Its not very far.I arrive at the cafe and hear someone yell,"LANITA!!!"He knows how much I hate that name!I smirk and yell back,"POOKY BEAR!!!"He pouts but he runs up to me in slow motion and hugs me.I kiss his cheek while laughing hysterically.We act like a couple but we're not.Hes my best friend in London."You know how I like my girl in leggings!"He smiles and I just roll my eyes and walk to the back of the register to get my red apron.I put it around me and I tie it at the back.Edward comes up to me and turns serious."How are you today?"

"Ive had worse days."And then I smile and say,"Youve got one of your lame jokes for me today?"He puts his hand over his heart and looks offended."Im offended,Lanita!

First of all your joke are lamer than mine,second of all you always laugh your cute little laugh at them and third of all im just plain awesome."I roll my eyes but smile anyways.I poke his cheek and tell him to tell me.

"What was the duck detectives new years resolution?"I shrugged my shoulders and he tried to keep himself from laughing at his own joke."To quack the case!"He bursts out laughing and I end up giggling.

"Stop distracting we have got to get to work!!"He just rolls his eyes and goes to the kitchen to make the orders.Customers start piling in and today was a very busy day.The cafe was about to close in about ten minutes and I was giving a coffee to a nice lady until the door opened and I looked to see who it was.The coffee dropped to the floor once I saw who it was.

"KALEY!!!"Edward came rushing out when he heard me screaming and quickly figured out what was happening.He pulled me into a hug and I just stood their not believing my eyes.

No this isnt real.Shes just a figment of my imagination.Now im crazy,shes dead and she cant be alive.

She cant,can she?
