Negan let Harley handle Lucille for quite some time, thinking that she'd eventually lose interest in his weapon of choice but she never did. He almost expected her, at one point, to drop his prized possession to the floor but instead she tilted it eye level and caressed the slick wire between the sharp barbs.
Harley poked her tongue between her lips, appreciating the simplicity of the weapon before practicing a swing with it.
"That's a nice bat you got there." She grinned, handing it to Negan, "And your weapon's nice too."
Negan gently scrunched his brow at Harley's comment only realizing what she meant as she tilted her head at him. He cleared his throat and slipped his jacket on arm before trading Lucille in his other hand.
"I'll let you rest up. You can play with Lucille another day." He quipped quickly.
"Lucille, hmm?" Harley raised her brows, touching the tip of her tongue to one of her canines, "Promise I won't get jealous."
Negan smirked, "I'll believe it when I see it."
Harley picked her leg up slightly, rubbing her big toe into the carpet as she tugged the bottom of her shirt down coyly before glancing up through her lashes at Negan.
"Maybe...you could teach me a few swings some time."
"Maybe..." Negan chuckled, bracing Lucille over his shoulder and stepping towards the door, "Now, you rest up easy, peach. I'll see you, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in the morning."
He winked and Harley kept her cool long enough to wave after the man as he left. She drew her bottom lip in to nibble on as she sat on the edge of the bed.
Harley pulled her hair into two low ponytails before pulling the covers over her legs as she waited for dinner. Negan took a heavy seat on the couch with a groan, setting Lucille beside him as he shut his eyes for a brief moment; he opened his eyes at the door of the RV slamming. Fat Joseph held a plate of food and a half cup of water in his hands, tiptoeing down the hallway to give Harley her nourishment.
"Ain't you a big man?" She quipped with a flirty grin, which caused Joey to blush slightly. "You must eat well."
The solemn young man set down the plate of food and handed Harley the cup, "Enjoy your meal, Harley."
"Thank you, cutie." She chirped as Joey exited the room.
As Joseph made his way back down the hallway, he was stopped by Lucille blocking the doorway. His eyes followed up the length of the bat to Negan, standing in the shadow of the bathroom.
"You know I'm a reasonable man, Joseph." He began, clicking his tongue between his statements, "I don't ask for much. But after tonight, you're already on thin ice. And with your situation," Negan clapped his hand to Fat Joseph's robust stomach, "That ain't ever good."
Joseph felt a sweat break out across the back of his neck, Negan's words always so chilling when he was calm; the leader clasped at hand to the back of Joey's neck and forced his face close to Lucille's sharp barbs.
"Now...if Harley ain't got a towel, if she ain't got shoes on, if she ain't eaten when she's wanted, she will have your shirt, your shoes and your fucking meals, you got that?" He urged through grit teeth before shoving the man away and holding Lucille over his shoulder again.
"You go get some sleep now. You'll have to be up before she is to make her breakfast." Negan grinned evilly as Joey scurried to his feet.
Harley leaned her head forward as she heard the scrimmage outside of the door, tilting her ear to hear a bit through the paper thin walls.
