Chapter Thirteen

Gosh...

I fell asleep..

Maybe I was so tired because of taming the wand..

I sit up, and stretch my arms, I take a glance at the window and it was already night.

Wow. I slept that long?

I grabbed my wand, and examine if its scratched or broken externally.

I rushed downstairs and was greeted by Marco's parents, but no Marco!

"Where's Marco?" I mark a fake smile on my lips.

What an idiot! He is obviously with Jackie, dating..

"Oh.. Having heart-to-heart talk with Jackie." Mr. Diaz spoke.

"Where?" I asked again.

"Hmm.." They hummed showing they're thinking.

"Oh! I remember, they are in the park." Mrs. Diaz smiled.

"This late?"

"Yes. Why did you ask that Star?"

You're giving an hint, Star!

"Nothing! I was just concern about their relationship..." I lied, again.

I hate lying though..

The two chuckled.

"You can take the puppies for a walk. Hijo always forgot that since a week ago." Mrs. Diaz looked at the laser puppies.

"So cute." I squealed. "Well. Since Marco is not around, maybe I can!"

"The laces are on the table." Mr. Diaz pointed to the table he's talking about.

I simply grab it and approach the cutest puppies I ever saw.

"Done. Let's go!" I mumbled happily, stopping at the front of the doorway.

"Say bye to Mr. and Mrs. Diaz every puppies!" I said.
But the dogs looked around like no one was there.

"Say bye!" I tried again. But its still the same.

"That's weird. They always greet you when they see you." I stated, then the two couple gave me a nervous look.

Something smells fishy here...

"I-its ok Star. You can go now.." Mr. Diaz break the awkward silence.

"I will see you later!" I open the front door.

"Be safe Star!" The two remind me before I stepped outside and  close the door.

We started to walk and some of the puppies shot lasers everywhere.

"Puppies.. I'm so disappointed with you earlier.. Why you didn't gesture a single motion to them?"

Some of them cutely bark.

"Or maybe.... you didn't see them?"

They all cutely bark.

Is that an answer or something?

But.. The couple were standing in front of us...
I can't understand the animals...

"Come on. Let's go to the park!" I raise my hand, holding my wand.

And the puppies continue to cutely bark.
