Arias POV

We have been walking for ages. And that's no exaggeration. The sun was only just peaking over the horizon when we left and it is now in the middle of sky. I get that we have to keep going to avoid Flesh Eaters or whatever but seriously people! Hours!
"This is stupid," I grumble to Jay who walks by my side.
"Come on, it's not that bad," he says too cheerily for the scorching hot sun and our rumbling stomachs.
I glance around, making sure no one is listening. "We could break off, you know," I whisper into his ear.
He chuckles. "Whatever you say, babe." He has a stupid grin so obviously he isn't taking me seriously.
"Don't think I could make it out there?" I say, spinning around swiftly and putting my small knife to his throat, stopping him from moving. I can feel a smile on my lips. I lean forward and place a kiss on his lips, lingering just a few seconds longer.
He slowly touches the knife with the tips of his fingers, lowering it. "Whatever you say," he says with a grin.
I smile as sweetly as possible. "Don't you remember how we met, babe?" I say innocently.
"How could I forget." We both carry identical grins at the memory.

I race along the newly polished tiles, sliding as I do, and glancing behind me to see if I'm still being followed. The one thing I'm not prepared for is someone else who isn't in a police uniform, and carries a small handgun. "Who the hell are you?" I ask, stunned. His grin. His blond hair. His emerald eyes. All play a part in captivating me.
That's the first time I see his goofy grin. "The real question is: who the hell are you?" He even laughs. The sound of skidding comes up from behind me and his green eyes widen. He grabs my wrist roughly and pulls me down another hall. And another. It goes on forever until I find myself on the tiled roof. "Ready for something a little bit cliché," he laughs as he stares at the red, tiled roofs ahead of us.
"What?" Is all that escapes my lips before he pulls me over the roof tops, laughing as he does. I almost drop my own gun but manage to keep it slung across my shoulder.
"Get them!" I hear a paris accent shout from behind us. I can't help but laughing as well.
I never would have thought that I'd be running over roof tops in Paris with a gun and a stranger. A cute stranger too.
Suddenly, more police step out onto the next roof, guns and tasers pointed.
"Ready to jump?" The stranger whispers into my ear, sending shivers down my spin. I barely have time to register his words before he leaps from the rooftop effortlessly, and onto a fruit stool. He lands with a crash and looks at me expectantly. I normal go through vents or swim through water, not jump off roofs. I look around me and see that I have no choice. The police are everywhere, and advancing on the stranger quickly. "You better jump quickly or I'm leaving you," he laughs.
I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I jump in his general direction, hoping that if I die, it's quick. I don't land on the hard, paved, road like I thought. I land in his arms. I open my eyes as he sets me down and can't help but grin at the stunned shoppers.
Without as much of a word, he plunges into the water that travels in front of us. Now this I can do. I dive in after him and we start swimming as fast as possible until we reach land. We sit, panting, on the warm sand, grinning at each other. "What did you say your name was?" He says, the grin seems permanently stuck on his gorgeous face.
What? No? Gorgeous? What?
"I didn't. Aria Ashton," I smile and extend my hand, which he shakes.
"Jay. Jay Watson."

"I saved your ass," he smirks.
I roll my eyes and give him a playful punch on the arm. "Whatever you say."
"Keep up you two!" Celia calls.
I shake my head and keep walking. "Why should we follow her rules?" I spit. "I killed Donald Trump, I'm pretty sure I can lead."
Jay smiles. "We killed Trump. And yes you can. Just... don't make enemies." He gives me a sideway glance
"I do not make enemies," I insist.
"Whatever you say, Button."
"Let's split off. Take a few with us. We can start somewhere away from her and her army."
He gives me an odd look. "Sure."
"I'm serious," I say.
"So am I," he smiles warmly at me, his eyes are sincere so I know he's telling the truth.
"Lets go tomorrow," I buzz.
"Mhm."
"Who do we take?" I ask, getting excited.
"Whoever wants to come I guess?" He asks uneasily.
"This'll be awesome," I smirk, imagining the look on her face when we leave. Stupid and controlling. Just like her.

So I know this is kind of a short chapter but I anted to end it here since I've been waiting for her to leave in ages.
That, by the way, was how they met. They were both trying to the much hated prez. (Sorry not sorry)
I'm not sure whether or not the next should be in her POV or not...
If anyone could make me a proper cover I'd really appreciate since my friend is taking forever -sigh-
Thanks for reading and sorry for any mistakes!
