Aria's POV
"Whatever we want?" She asks uneasily, glancing at her partner who gives her a warning look.
"Whatever, whenever," I say, smirking. So far I have thirty people.
Her face brightens and she grips her partners hand. "You know what? Why should we follow her stupid rules," with one more silent exchange I can see I've won them over. "Count us in."
"Meet in an hour," I say, turning away. I'm met with Celia who doesn't look happy.
"What do you think you're doing?" She demands, her hands on her hips.
I smile. "I know I'm leaving this stupid group." I go to get past her but she steps in front of me.
"No, you're not. We have to stick together because, if you haven't realised, there are brain dead Flesh Eaters walking about," she snaps, her eyes blazing.
I take a threatening step towards her so we are almost touching. "You think you're sooo tough don't you? Ordering us about like that. But I have news for you. I do what I want, when I want, and no one is going to stop me," I say, low enough that only she, and a few people surrounding us, can hear.
Her jaw is clenched and anger burns in her features. Just the look I've been waiting to see. We stand there in furious silence until I feel a hesitant tap on my shoulder. With one last mocking smile, I whip around to find all thirty people waiting for my instructions. Jay steps out of the crowd and plants himself next to me, gripping my hand. "Ready to go, Button?" He whispers in my ear.
I nod and address the crowd. "If you choose to follow me then you can't come back. It's a one way ticket where we can actually enjoy our last few days. Anyone who doesn't wish to come, or is too scared to, step out now." Luckily no one does and I'm confident that I've chosen the right people.
"Whatever we want, whenever we want!" Someone suddenly calls and is followed by more chants of "whatever we want, whenever we want." I give a satisfied nod and march through the crowd. I'm followed by the thirty people of the Gonplei Tribe. We march until sunset where we finally decide to rest. Excited chatters fill the camp as we ready ourselves for sleep. Then, I realise, everyone is awaiting some kind of orders. "We need three people on watch," I say and scan the group for the faces of people that I remember. "Kayla, Mark, and Tony." I remember that Kayla is the only one who jumped at the opportunity before I had finished explaining. She's a bit odd but very useful as she has experience with fights and would get into them all the time. She has butt length, light blonde hair, almost platinum, that is always fluffy and dry. Her face is small and pale, with thin lips and sweet, cornflower blue eyes with blonde lashes. She is small and looks extremely innocent and sweet, despite her constant straight face, although she assures me she isn't.
They all nod as I order then to the different spots around our small camp. Then, finally, I can rest. I somehow manage to fall asleep with Jay's arms wrapped tightly around me.
I wake to chaos. Small fights have broken out everywhere and, when I check our limited food supply, I find it empty. I even see a group of, what look like sixteen year old boys, taunting a Flesh Eater. I march over to them but they don't even seem to notice. "What the hell do you think you're doing," I demand and wince at how much I sound like Celia.
"Isn't it obvious? We're enjoying ourselves," the first guy smirks and is soon flanked by his friends, all of which are taller than me.
I make myself turn to stone to appear tougher then I actually feel. "Either let it go, or kill it," I hiss.
He glances to his mates then back to me, not liking what I'm saying. "Why should we listen to you? Whatever we want. Whenever we want."
They step toward me, cracking their knuckles. Now I can fully see how huge they are. And I hate it. I've never felt so vulnerable and tiny.
Then a thought occurs to me. "Then lock it up," I say, attempting to put some superiority back in my voice.
They glare at me through tiny slits. "Why?"
"So we can use it." I frantically search my mind for a reason. "We have a new form of initiation," I say as if the thought has been there for ages. "We can't let just anyone going the Gonplei Tribe."
They smirk, obviously liking the idea of seeing people fight single handedly against a Flesh Eater. "Go on, guys. Find a cage." The two friends spread out in search of some kind of cage. They end up settling on the cooler we use to keep our food in. As soon as that is over I have to try to regain the same control I had last night. "Everyone," I address. "Stop fighting like children when we have a much more urgent thing to worry about. We must keep going. I know roughly where we are and that there is a small... city just North of here. If we can get to it we'll be safe." Murmurs fill the camp before a single person steps out. "You better be right about this." And we are back to trudging tirelessly across the scorching bush, the beautiful jungle is just a distant memory.

Wassup readers!
So I'm sorry for the very short chapter but I'm on a plane that is going to land at any moment and I wanted to get this finished.
I'll also be staying with my Dad for Christmas so I might not get to publish any more for a while.
Also, I'm sorry for my shitty fight scenes but my knowledge of fighting goes about as far as The Hunger Games as I haven't been in a real fight before XD
I hope you keep reading and enjoy the story! Also share, vote, and comment so I know what you think.
I'm so grateful for all of you, thanks and I love you all xxx
