Silence is a killer.

I wake up.

Alone.

I'm alone. Wasn't I in Ben's arms last night?

Is this a way to punish me for leaving?

I start to cry, the tears silently streaming down my face. I hate what I've done. Who I've become.

I hear the door open, and shut. The footsteps get closer, and they're not Ben's. I know exactly who's they are.

Sam's.

"Ben, are you crying again?" he calls as he takes off his boots.

I don't answer, as I'm not Ben.

I see the note he left, Ben, telling me that he went out to get us breakfast and he'll be back in a few minutes.

"Ben, this isn't funny, are you- Delilah?" he asks, stunned at my presence. I give him a small smile and nod, wiping the last few stray tears from my eyes. He's in front of me before I can even blink, holding me in his arms as if I'm some fragile doll.

I'm nowhere near fragile.

I hug him to me, glad to have my big brother back. Glad to be back.

But who know's how long this will last.

I may leave again in the morning, but before I do, I have to see everyone. See my boys. See Brandi and Brittany and Myca. Hold Ben, before I do something drastic.

Because in the end, I'm just a side effect.
